Free Wifi at Riverside :-)

When we got back to our room at POR today we found a note about free wifi at the hotel and it's working perfectly

Beside this we are having a great vacation. The weather is nice and warm during the day but a bit cold at night. We were at MVMCP last night, great parade, firework and castle show, but most of the party merchandise is sold out :-(

The crowds are low concidering free dining. We went to Universal Studios the other day where everything was walk on's ;-)

I don't know if the other mods have it now. We got it today. I have been checking for wifi in the room a couple of times cause I can't use 3g in the States, but there haven't been any. So it was a nice surprice

We are in lodge 35, I think it's a refurbed room, but I'm not sure.

I did a split stay this week. Sunday night at FQ building 14 and the wifi worked pretty well! Monday and Tuesday at OKW building 35 and the wifi was iffy. If I was at the Hospitality House it was fine. There seemed to be two different wifi services at OKW. In my room it showed up as 'guest' and used a router inside the room. The one at FQ and at OKW's Hospitality House showed up as 'Disney guest'. Neither required a password.

We checked in yesterday at POFQ and free wifi in the room and everywhere outside the grounds. It's great!

this is GREAT news. my DD's both are homeschooled at a virtual school and I was NOT looking forward to either schleping to our friend's deluxe room at the boardwalk or going offsite to logg attendance hours. YAY for the free wifi! Well done Disney!

I'm at Caribbean Beach, on free wifi. I hadn't checked all week since I heard there was none, but my son needs to do a math assignment online, so we were going to pay for one night of Internet, I got out the iPad and there it was, free wifi last night. Didn't get a note or anything either, just noticed it was there. Yay!

When the resort has free WiFi, the service seems to become extremely slow....think old dial up. We're DVC members and always have gotten free Internet at DVC resorts, and the resort provided the cable to hook up. When we were at AKL last month, I enjoyed having WIFi, but I didn't enjoy it in the evenings when the service slowed down so much that it was almost impossible to use. I had my personal laptop, and DH had his work computer so that he could log in every morning to check work e-mails. He didn't have any problems early in the mornings, but late afternoons and evenings were much slower. If you plan to use it for work/school reasons, don't be surprised if you have problems during peak time for guests to be in their rooms.

In all my Mod and Value resort stays I'd be lucky to get Ipad into safe, no way would my laptop fit.
