Free water?

Will the restaurants give you free water at UO like they do at WDW? Or if we bring collapsible water bottles will there be a place to fill them with cold water?

I thought about doing the refillable souvenir cups but don't think I want to mess with putting them in a locker. However I know it's going to be hot in mid-September so we'll need some way to keep hydrated.

Yes, they do give out free water and ice. All the food places were able to give us the water for free. It really saved us as its incredibly hot in September!

What restaurants do we go to for free water and ice? I will bring a refillable water bottle that I can use throughout the day. I would rather drink water all day, then pop.

I think they all offer it. Off the top of my head, I can't remember the names of the ones we walked into, but anywhere that sells drinks will give you the free water in your refillable bottle.

Someone else may have a more specific answer!

Does anyone know if these will be more of a burden throughout the day. Like if we have to rent a locker to ride a ride. Or what other solution do you use? From reading your post, now I am thinking I should buy a collapsible water bottle.

We usually use our Klean Kanteen's as well and at WDW I just threw them in the backpack. But several of the rides at UO (I can't remember which ones of the top of my head but I know FJ is one of them) won't allow you to have any bags or things that won't fit in your pocket. You don't have to rent a locker- they have ones you can use for free while on the ride- but you may have to deal with lines/crowds at the lockers. Collapsible just seems to make the most sense.

Do you have a recommendation for a collapsible water bottle? I have been researching, and it looks like Vapur has some nice reviews. Although it looks like some people are getting counterfeits made in China when they order on amazon.com.

I would be happy to hear what others think of the reusable water bottles. I am torn between the vapur and the plattypus. I normally use Kleen Kanteens, but I am worried about waiting in lines to put them in a locker on rides where you have to stow your extra stuff.

I'm leaning toward the Vapur with the carbiner clips but from there website not Amazon since people have reported fakes on there.

Me too. A good deal I ran across is that if you buy the Vapur from Eddie Bauer's website, the price is almost half price if you buy anything else. I was thinking of maybe looking for a polo shirt in their clearance section. So for the price of regular price, you can get two bottles and a polo shirt.

For example, the normal price on the website is $19.95 for two. But if you add anything else, you get two for $11.99 if you buy something else. Buy a shirt for $10, and then you get the two Vapur's for $11.99. It's like buying the Vapur's and getting a free shirt!

you can get free cups of ice/ice water at any of the CS or restuarants in the park.
if the cart has the dispenser, you can water there also.

if there are not many peeps behind you for the carts, they will fill your bottles with water.

i have never been turned down to have my bottle refilled with water at food places.
