Free tax prep and e-filing

I was nosing around on the irs.gov website last night and found this great page:

I was getting ready to pay almost $120 to TurboTax (federal and 2 states) when I discovered we qualified for the TurboTax Freedom edition - efiled Federal and one state return for free and had to pay $15 for another state (they didn't participate in the free filing program). Some of the requirements seemed pretty generous to me, so maybe this will help someone save some money!

I just use the Free online edition which comes with free federal e-file, then I file my state return on my state's irs website, which is also free. I don't pay a dime to file my taxes electronically!

Before using Turbo Tax (or anyone else) to file your state return, see if your state has a free e-file site of it's own!
