What "free" things are there around WDW?? Now i realize usually nothing is ever free but..... For example collecting coasters from some of the different bars or restaurants around Disney..... i've heard they no longer do the plastic robots in epcot. But the Visa card member photo's are still going i believe... Anything, and however you can describe your free thing! Thanks for all posts!

You can get cups of ice water any place that sells fountain drinks. The kids can make a free mask in Epcot and put decorations on it from every country. If you go to DTD, you can usually get a free sample of chocolate at Guiradelli's(sp).
And don't forget about free Coke product samples from around the world in Epcot at Club Cool. I didn't know they had stopped the robots.

Parks Maps and Times Guides are free as are buttons if you are celebrating a special occasion at the parks. I can’t think of anything else off the top of my head

Napkins, menus, confettii, even the mickey mouse head plates the kids get, pixie dust in CRT, MEMORIES!!!!

Can you tell me more about the free member photos - I have a disney vias card - never heard of it.

If you login to your Disney Visa card online and then go to the "View Disney Offers" link and then "Card Benefits", it will tell you about all of the perks including the Character Meet-n-Greet w/ free photo.

You can make a velcro frog at Innoventions at EPCOT. They'll even give you a little piece of velcro to wear the frog as a bracelet. Ours are now proudly displayed on the fridge.

We've never heard of the velcro frog?? Do you remember which Innoventions? We really missed the robots this trip. I have several pieces around my floor at this very moment from past trips! Why can't the kids keep the arms and legs on them??? :rotfl2:

Never heard of this. Is this new in place of the robots?

If you're going to be on the monorail, request to sit up front & you'll receive a co-pilot license. Cute souvenir for scrapbook.

I got an email report that had several free things but they were both items and activities. For example:

1.) Free e-postcards with my photo at Mission Space & Image Works

2.) Free Campfire Sing-Along with Chip & Dale at Ft. Wilderness.

3.) Free monorail "license" when you ride up front.

4.) Free "Birthday" or "First Trip to Disney World" pins at guest services.

5.) Free "First Rollercoaster Ride" card for little ones at Goofy's Barnstormer.

Didn't know that. We've sat up front, but never received a license. I suppose you have to know to ask for it. Anyone have a photo of it?

1) Free stickers from CM's
2) Free robots from Innoventions (but from what im gathering that is not there anymore?)
3) Free disney transportation cards on disney buses
4) We asked what kind of buttons they have at the guest relations for people not celebrating anything and we got cool buttons that say honourary guest of disney world and ones that say Magical Gathering, I know we didn't have an actual magical gathering but we had our closest family members as well as our extended family "minnie and mickey" :cool1:

they aren't

3) Free disney transportation cards on disney buses

unless a new series has been published, there are 18 cards. 3 for buses (one for each type of bus in the fleet), 12 for monorail (one for each line) and 3 for the ferries. each type of card is only available on the respective transportation

4) We asked what kind of buttons they have at the guest relations for people not celebrating anything and we got cool buttons that say honourary guest of disney world and ones that say Magical Gathering

just nitpicking. it's honorary citizen.

the magical gatherings features the incredibles. i think i have a pic somewhere but can't get to it now.

Yeah, we went in May, they HAVE stopped the robots..

BUT some velcro companies are doing velcro frogs.. You put velcro "clothes" + "accessories" on velcro frogs. Although the robots were better toys you have much more choices with the frogs!

The attraction opened the day we were there and I of course had to go over the top and dress the frog up to look like.. well I was going for princess, but everyone thought it was a diva-drag-queen-frog! One of the company people in a suit who was there for the opening loved it and wanted to take a photo of me and my over the top-diva-drag-queen (PRINCESS princess: !!)-frog (+her over-the-top-frog-prince that I also made) and show it to his boss.. The there was a velcro game show thing there too, and they (of course) chose me and hubby for a game (we didn't even volunteer for it!) where I had to stick on a big bunch of soft toys to a velcro poncho they made him wear. I got photo taken him with all the soft toys and no dignity +me looking accomplished next to him, it's SOOOO funny and on my desktop :rotfl2: My poor husband can't take me anywhere without me or both of us ending up in some sort of sit-com situation :P

If you go to the barbershop in MK, you can get free Pixie Dust. They sprinkle Pixie Dust into your hair and hairspay it in. I am always amazed that this is free.

I want an honorary citizen of Walt Disney World button!!! And a Drag-queen Frog!!! :yay:
