Yup. Amazing eh? They actually extended the "free shipping on orders over $75" to Canadians. Sucks that it's ONLY for this weekend. Maybe if Canadians make enough noise they will make this permanent.

I'm a little annoyed that I just received an order 2 weeks ago and alot of the things I bought are now on sale. :headache::rotfl2: That's the way of my life though!

Anyways, all you have to do is fill your shopping cart to the point that it has over $75 before tax and tada....free shipping! (it's usually a flat rate of $39.50!)

ALSO, DRVCGIFT15 will also take 15% off your total order!
 
Be aware, though, that the Disney Store ships UPS Standard and you will have to pay PST/GST upon delivery, as well as UPS brokerage fees ($19.45 for an order up to $100). We blogged about it when they announced their $15 "flat rate" shipping for Canadian orders over $150. We've suggested that they switch to an option (like UPS Worldwide) that already includes customs/brokerage fees, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to send them more emails or tweets - strength in numbers! :)

:confused3 The last 3 orders I've made have been over $100. I haven't been asked to pay a thing. First order was between my doors when I came home, second was delivered to my moms and 3rd was between my doors as well. And all those orders have been within the last 6 months.
 
Thanks for the awesome tip! How did you know it would be free shipping for Canada as well? I cannot find it on the website anywhere (still says to US only), but when I get to the check out - sure enough, free shipping!

That's good to hear, it sounds like the fee charging might be hit and miss then. Does the Disney Store still require a signature upon delivery? I've found that if a signature isn't required then often the courier doesn't bother with the fees, whereas if a signature is required then they'll hit you with the fees at delivery. Our last 2 Disney Store orders both required the signature & charged the fees, but it's been about a year since we've ordered from them.

Nope. No signature. Like I said 2 of them were just left between my doors. I was kinda shocked though cause anyone could come along and steal the box. It's quite obvious where it's from.

Oh and I knew about the free shipping for Canadians because I "like" DisneyStore on facebook and it was posted there. As soon as your cart hits $75 the shipping fees disappear. And I also used the 15% off to save me another $15! :)

haha Yeah just hide in your house when they knock on the door! ;) lol I went and looked at the paperwork that was on the boxes I got and I don't see anything about brokerage fees or anything. Just an invoice. So you should be just fine!

Oh and omg....I didn't realize that! LMAO! I even ordered over the phone with a Disney Store cm because I couldn't get the online to work! First time that happened! I always just do a quick search for DisneyStore discount codes and that's one I found. Guess we'll see what happens. :rotfl:

BTW, I was home and answered the door when the courier delivered. He asked me to sign but I never had to pay additional fees. Same with the first time I ordered a few months ago, and when Disney resent a broken item to me. No additional fees.

Yeah I understand! Not only did I just receive a shipment 3 weeks ago (I could have saved the $39.50 shipping) but also 3 of the things I bought are now like 50% cheaper! :headache:
 
I placed my order Sat morning and it just shipped out tonight (mon). When the whole Designer doll fiasco was going on a friend ordered me Pocahontas and it made it to her in Kingston in about 2 days. AMAZING and no duties or taxes :) So fingers crossed this time. I've been doing alot of ebaying lately for ornaments and have a few coming from the US I hope they don't get nailed with duty.

I actually am pretty unhappy as I specifically made an order because of this shirt I wanted was FINALLY in stock! I added in some other stuff to get to $75 (perfume Pixie Dust and a body spray and a minnie mouse iPhone case/cover set) and then they e-mailed me to say the shirt was NOT coming in my order but that they shipped everything else. Ugh. So long story short I've already e-mailed back and forth with a 2 different cms at the DisneyStore. But I just got "we're sorry. here is 25% off. no we can not give you the free shipping on the next order" So, I posted my complaint on the DisneyStore facebook group and they gave me a different e-mail to contact someone so I tried that. Luckily I finally got a CM who was trying to keep my business. She has informed me that even though the shirt is showing up on the site again right now (only in Large) she said it is probably going to be out of stock. But that once it's back I can not only order it with a 25% discount but that she WILL honor the free shipping. I'm still waiting to hear if I will still be required to spend $75 or not. I actually would be ok with that if it is the way it has to be as we still have things we want for our trip next year. I'm just waiting for a reply.

The last time I had a problem was the wrong shirt came. The CM was amazing on the phone. Immediately ordered me the correct shirt and sent it out free of charge. I wasn't even asked to send the wrong shirt back...which I was fully prepared to do.

So I will continue to shop with the Disney Store. I will also make sure to let you guys know if they offer the Free Shipping to Canadians again! I always post any DisneyStore discounts that I know of in my PTR as well. :yay:
