Free Refills All Day

Redd Rockett's Pizza Port
Rancho Del Zocalo
Plaza Inn

Rancho Del Zocalo???!
I'm embarassed to say I didn't even know this restaurant existed in DL! :rotfl: We never eat at any of those so refills while still dining aren't even an option.

We've asked and been told at Pizza Port guests may have 1 free refill.

At Plaza Inn, I think they allow more refills, since they use plastic glasses there that you can't really take with you.

FYI-at Plaza Inn we always get our cups to go. The cashiers have them, you just have to ask. That way we can get a refill before we leave to take into the park. But no, I'm not condoning using the cup for refills all day. I thought of this myself years ago but we don't do it. However, I am sure there are those guests who do.

When we get refills at Pizza Port I've never had anyone ask to see our receipt. I never heard of the "one refill" rule. Not saying they don't have it, just haven't run across it.If you are still eating and wanted a 2nd refill I don't think it would be a problem.

Since we are APH and go quite often, we don't buy that many sodas to start with. I'll bring in my own Diet Coke, we'll get free cups of water (hot or cold), and DD loves those flavor tubes for water. When I do buy a soda it is usually at a place where I can get a refill. If I can only get one serving, that's too much $$ for me.

Oh, and one more that allows refills is at GC. One of our fav. CS, Whitewater Snacks.

We rarely buy soda in the parks either. DH every once in a while will want a pick-me-up and get a Coke since the in-park coffee is so awful. Pizza Port though does have the one refill rule and they say you need to show your receipt, but nobody is actually checking. The first time I heard this policy was about 1 or 1 1/2 years ago I think, and the CM volunteered the comment. I also overheard CMs letting others know about the policy. I wondered if it had something to do with the new cup size they came up with; I think it's 32 oz or something like that. They featured it a lot as an AP promotion. Since we hardly ever buy soda out and never in that quantity, I don't really remember the details. I can see Disney wanting to limit the refills though if they're going to offer such ridiculously big cup sizes since you could satisfy a lot of people's thirsts with unlimited refills on a 32 oz cup.

For our family of 4, we always ask for 2 large sodas, NO ICE, and ask for 2 extra (small) glasses for the kids, so we can share the soda.

We NEVER drink out of the same cups/straws, etc.

If one of us is harboring germs and doesn't know it yet, then the person can still be contagious.

Better to let germs lie where they may in Disneyland, than fall ill from drinking out of the same cup.

I have heard the tip to always bring in little dixie cups or something because the soda's are so big that you can share with your kids. PLUS, if they spill a little cup it's no big loss

And it does come cold so the no-ice option is a good one!

I think this is a great money saving tip. And the BEST money-saving tip is stay away from too much soda, water is so much better when you are trying to quench a thirst & avoid dehydration. :thumbsup2
