Free Photo Editor?

Does anyone know of a free photo editor I can use/download to superimpose a picture of my niece into a picture of the Jonas Brothers?

Her 6th birthday is tomorrow and I volunteered to make her a birthday cake since my sister is going through cancer treatments.

My niece wants a Jonas Brothers-themed cake (I found that out after volunteering). To make it more special, I thought I'd add her photo to one of the bros' pictures. I figure I can print a picture and remove it from the top of the cake before cutting it.

I've looked online but haven't found one yet. I can blend photos on one of them, but it washes her out.

Any ideas?

If all else fails, I'm going to glue individual pitures of the guys and my DN onto toothpicks and stick them onto the cake.

Have you tried Paint.net, not sure if it will work or not, but it's free. Good luck.

Have you tried Gimp? I know there is another one out there that my son likes, but this is the first thing he always gets when he reformats his pc.

(He likes to play with OS's.)

You should be able to do a free 30-day trial of Photoshop.

Picsa is a great photo editor, but I'm not 100% sure you can do what you're hoping to--I've never tried LOL

Gimp was the one that had everything I needed.

I don't know if it is too late but you can have that photo turned into edible icing that you lay on top of the cake. We can get this done (for a fee) at our grocery store bakery. The do them on their own cakes all the time but will make the photo thing for you too.
