Wow, there are lots of openings, no one until august after me if things stay the same.

I really had to go some to find the thread, so basically just posting to keep it current.

Do we know where the box is????

So, GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!! The manager of FQ just emailed me asking if we're missing our box....um, yeah we are! He says it's been there since March. We know this...So...I'm gonna send him the next swapper's info (once I get it) and we will hopefully be back in business.

If the list doesn't say FQ or Riverside next to your name, can you let me know where you are? I think most of our swappers have been FQ & I'm considering making this a FQ only swap. All our issues stem from the transfer over to Riverside.

Any thoughts or opinions on this?? I have no issue w/ someone from Riverside using it, but how about if they go over to FQ & pick it up? Then drop it off at FQ? I just want to keep the box going...I love the idea & I think it's fun and helps people.

If you're updating the list at all, I'm staying at FQ October 9 - 14.

I was thinking if any of the participants in the near future were so possessed to put a little list together of the contents, it might be helpful to future participants?? :dunno:

The surprise of what's in the box is half the fun! LOL

Just a quick note: Mr Vega mentioned that part of the reason (in his opinion) the box keeps getting lost is that our box resembles their storage boxes. He found our box this time inside one of their boxes...he also mentioned that w/ no notification on the reservation itself, the box is often hard to find.

He has placed a note on our next swapper's reservation so that it will be waiting for her...I wonder if when the box is dropped off each time, the checking out swapper goes to the counter & asks the CM to place a note on the reservation of the next swapper about the box if that would help any. I have asked Mr Vega if this will work & am waiting on a response. It may be a good idea, though. It may be a good idea, also, to leave the claim ticket of the dropped off box in an envelope for the next swapper w/ their contact info on it (I remember doing this years ago w/ the fridge swaps)...SOMETHING has to work! LOL They will put a note in the res that there is an envelope for them & give it to them upon check-in. If there's a note in the res that there's a box waiting also, they will usually have it ready.

We should try this...I really want to see this box when we go in November!

I know there are Mickey Heads all over the box...but maybe we need more....something written all over it? Something that stands out so that it won't blend in w/ the other storage boxes.

I will be at POFQ June 4-12, 2011. Can you sign me up for that time? I see there is someone leaving on 6/9 so I can pick it up that day if possible.

KUDOS to you all for keeping good care of the box! Can anyone provide a good detailed post about what was last seen in it?

If I don't get it, you'll be removed from the list. ...so please, send me name, phone #, check in/out dates, resort (FQ/POR) and reservation #. I just want to thank everyone in advance for their cooperation. I think this will help with one of the issues we've been having.
