I remember when I was to the land last year AAA has free parking in the mickey and friends parking structure and I was wondeirng if all tickets have that or just AAA's.

I've actually never heard of this, so I'm guessing it's just AAA tickets, and it may have just been a special last year. I know that they change there offerings with PH tickets often.

This is odd....I think last year all the tickets had it. I know now that AAA still has it though.

I'll call getawaytoday and ask them.

AAA tickets have always included the free parking as long as I can remember (we've been buying ours through them for 12+ years). I've never seen the regular hoppers include the parking but sometimes you can get the regulars w/ a $10 credit at ESPN zone.

Thank you so much! I guess I'm going to need to call to find out!

Yes Free Parking is the best perk of purchasing tickets at AAA. I have always purchased my tickets from AAA (expect last year when we had AP's - I upgraded from my AAA pass :) )

Disneychrista,

So it is just fine to buy the hopper passes at AAA (do they have certain lengths of stay--I wanted to get the 2 day), get the free parking and then upgrade to an AP at the park. Are they the same price? And, can I just walk in and buy them?

Thanks, this really helps.

You would have to contact your local AAA office to find out what they have.

My "branch" (northern california, nevada, utah) of AAA has two day tickets for $98, and 5 day for $129. I have always been able to just walk in and get them no problem.

I believe you can also call up a branch and order the tickets.

Here is a link to the info I found. Disneyland Tickets

I just called the Southern California AAA offices and they said they don't sell DL tickets anymore--they haven't for about 2 years. Oh well. Probably because you're farther away, they sell them there. Thanks for your help. I'll just go to our local Disney Store and get them there. The only thing I am missing out on is the free parking so it's no big deal.

If you get an AP that either comes with parking, or add parking to it, then all you have to do is show your parking ticket for that day and you get the money back (or a credit towards the cost, I don't remember how DL does it, I think they actually give the money back though)

dletz,

I told my DH that I thought that was how it worked--he didn't think so. Thank you so much--I'll make sure we take our parking pass with us.

When we got our AP's last week the CM asked us twice for our parking receipt in order to credit us...we had walked from hotel that day so didn't need it, but it's nice to know they are on top of that.

If your AAA doesn't have DL tickets on hand (and even ours does here in small town WA), I think you can call the 800 # for AAA and just order them by mail. I saw a flier on it at my AAA when I went in for maps the other day.

Challada,

Small town Washington, huh. Do you mind me asking where? We're from Washington, too. In fact, we had annual passes when we lived in WA. I think one of the big reasons I agreed for us to move to California for my DH's job, was because DL was here. I have lived in Redmond, Bellevue, Bellingham, Mercer Island, Bothell and finally Covington. I think I'll always be a Washingtonian.:D

hayesktrm-

We're from the sunny side of the hills..ha!....we're in Wenatchee (the apple place) and just LOVE it. DH is originally from "the other side of the hills" but I'm from Texas originally. We compromised and moved here when we both got job offers here out of grad school. We've been here 11 years now and can't imagine being anywhere else....beautiful four seasons of weather, views of the Columbia River and the Cascade Mountains from our windows, skiing and hiking, lots of family activities and still reasonably priced real estate (my parents live in CA and I marvel at the skyrocketing prices).

Have many nice memories of Wenatchee--miss the apples. The company I worked for had the Apple Commission as its client. We always got really wonderful apples. I miss Lake Wenatchee and Leavenworth. Enjoy the housing prices--our place has gone up about 37% in a year. Of course, we can't afford to move because all the other places have gone up that much too. My DH lived in Spokane for many years as a child and my Mom grew up in Spokane, too. We do love Southern California, though. The kids love S. Cal. When we asked them if they wanted to move back to Washington, my son said, "no, there's nothing famous there." We all have gotten spoiled going to DL anytime we want. And we probably wouldn't be going on the West Coast Disney Cruise next year if we lived in Washington--it's already so expensive we couldn't rationalize airfare, too.

Take care and I hope it's not too hot there right now (talked to my parents today who live "on the other side of the hill" and they said it was 100 degrees today. Hotter than here!
