Free parking question for annual passholders... please help!

Hello, we will be visiting DL 10/19-22 and will be purchasing the premier socall APs that include free parking the day before we leave. Now, the website states we need to pick up our passes at the park's ticketing.

How would I use the free parking feature before actually picking up my pass on our first day at the park?

You pay for parking, and they will reimburse you the money (show them your receipt). If you plan on being at the parks less than 3 hours you can park in Downtown Disney, which is free, and then go get your tickets.

This is not a for sure thing, but I showed the parking attendant my Premium AP voucher and he let us park for free. So, not saying it will work for you, but it is worth a shot. I know a couple of other people who did this as well. From your question, it seems that you might have a voucher as well. So I hope it works for you!

The CM giving us our permanent APs asked about the parking and said the parking attendant was supposed to accept AP vouchers to park, but they didn't always do that.

this is correct. you can pick up your passes and reimbursement at the ticket booth.

They do the same thing if you forget you pass at home (which happens to me sometimes)

This has happened to us as well, but we were also parking at night (around 9 pm) and they don't generally charge anyone coming in that late.

What usually happens is we pay the fee and then we are reimbursed after our upgrade.

I just wanted to note quickly that the Premium APs are not So Cal APs, Premium APs are for anyone who wants to pay $629 for them.
