Free parking - Bus from Blizzard Beach to Animal Kingdom or elsewhere?

If OP wants to spend 2 hours a day getting from a water park to a theme park and back (while making sure to leave the theme parks by mid-afternoon), all to "save" money on parking, then go for it.

But as for advice I would strongly echo other posters who recommended upgrading one of the ultimate park hopper passes to an AP (no need to upgrade all of them). That would probably be not much more expensive, and could possibly save further money on some meals, etc. Then parking everywhere at WDW is free. You'd just need to present the AP to the parking attendant. That way, for about the same amount of money, you get free parking.

This is the simplest, most cost effective and best logistical way to avoid parking fees. You can park at the park you're going to, and you don't have to leave at 4 or 5 to make sure you get somewhere else to pick up your car.

You'll be there 2 weeks?

Give your way a go. After a few days or 5 or 8 you may get sick of spending extra hours sitting on a bus every day rather than doing something else.

OR maybe riding the bus will be an adventure your family enjoys. Cause sometimes those buses REALLY can be an adventure.

Although I am confused why you are spending money on Ultimate tickets when you are really only going to be able to enjoy non-water parks from about 10am-4pm (you need to allow time to get to & from your car)? If you try to park hop during the day, add in more bus time.

I can't see an issue in trying to avoid paying for crazy parking prices since I'll already have spent about 1500 bucks on 4 Ultimate tickets anyway.

Plus, from what I can see Blizzard Beach's car park is rarely full anyway - so no harm done.

See, you went for the money shot way too early in your post. Rookie mistake. :sad2:

I can at least appreciate a funny or imaginative troll, but these ones lately are really sad. Oh, well. I'm sure he or she will reincarnate into something else and hopefully learn from this little exercise in failure.

Upgrading ONE of your tickets to an annual pass will get you free parking. Check the pricing and see if it saves. I know I would. My DH griped ALL week about the parking fees the first time we went. BUT it was one of the key selling points to him when I wanted to by an annual pass :-)

I probably wouldn't want to spend an evening in the Parks anyway 4 or 5 seems like a nice time to escape - especially if I'm going to be there for 2 weeks.

So it can be done - great.

What about Typhoon Lagoon's bus route - which park is that connected to?

Personally, I prefer to take an afternoon break, and enjoy the parks in the evening. The ambiance is different.

And to get from TL to a park, you're going to have to transfer buses. If you luck out, the whole process will take a MINIMUM of just over an hour. If you *just miss* a bus, you're looking at a few hours to get to the park.

If you plan on making many purchases, or eating many sit down meals, I would consider buying at least one Annual Pass, if not a Premium Annual pass.

Annual Pass- $552
PAP- $691

Both get you free parking and the ability to buy the Tables in Wonderland card (which gets you 20% off of your dining and alcohol) and currently the AP gets you 10% off merchandise, and the PAP gets you 20% off.

Plus, if you are staying on Disney property, you get free parking anyway

I'm not trolling - trust me I really don't have the time.

I'm just looking to save a few bucks on my already frighteningly expensive vacation.

It's no difference from my wife cutting coupons for the supermarket.

It is different. Coupons are offered by the store and/or manufacturer. Disney is not offering you free or discounted parking the way you are describing - you are taking advantage of a loophole.

While you can certainly try to get free parking by parking at BB or TL, it has its own risks and definitely is not what Disney intends the busses to be used for. I think the OP has gotten some good advice for getting free parking without bending Disney's intended bus usage, so I'm going to close this thread here. :)
