Free parking benefit before you check in?

If I go straight to the parks (without stopping at the hotel first) the day we are checking into a disney hotel, can I still get free parking at the parks? We won't have our parking pass yet, so I assume no. Does disney ever reimburse for parking when I check in to the hotel later that day?

No, i would go to your resort and check in. You won't get your room but will get the parking pass and they will text you your room number when it is ready. I have checked in as early as 7:30 am but usually check in between 8 and 9am. So no reason you can't check in early and then run to the park with your parking pass. It is done all of the time.

Thanks. We won't be arriving to the Orlando area until around noon and were hoping to not waste time driving to the hotel to check in before hitting the parks. I guess we'll have to decide if the cost of parking is worth the extra time in the park.

I have read several reports on the Disboards by people who WERE reimbursed for park parking before they check in. It won't hurt to ask at check-in.

I checked in at OKW at 6:15 one morning to get my parking pass for a 7:00 am opening at AK. Don't know if they will reimburse or not after the fact. The Lobby was empty and check in was quick and easy at that hour.

I took a taxi once to AK when I was a resort guest and forgot to bring my pass. I had to pay...never thought of going to the front desk...when I got home, I shared the story with guest relations and they told me that I would have been reimbursed had I gone to the front desk...they even said if I sent them a copy of the receipt, they'd reimburse me from home.

I'd also ask the gate CM about it when you get there...maybe have your confirmation letter handy just in case that will work...

You can wear your magic band and they can scan it at the park where you pay to park. When they scan it they will see that you are checking in that day and should not charge. We were at AKL lodge at valet threw our parking pass out when they got the car on check out day. We went to ak that day and they just scanned our magic band and let us through without paying to park.
