wow that is pretty strange, LOL. Which building did you stay in. We were first building, 3rd floor of the 50's facing the courtyard leading to Everything POP!
(I think the side with LADY, But I could be wrong)
this is getting scary... we were also in the 50s, first building (lady)... top floor... room faced everything pop also... hey, you were not the neighbors who hung their laundry to dry on the railing were you? (i've been dying to know if they were happy that i folded it and saved it from getting wet in the rain or ticked that i touched their stuff! LOL!)
did you make a building request for pofq? we req'd bldg 5!

you're right, we were on the fourth floor... i know we were on the top floor 'cause the exhaust fan in the bathroom made a horrible rattling sound when the hurricane blew thru... LOL?
and i don't see why you cannot request a room thru AAA... i know i made my request thru my travel agent...
This offer is a different variation of what they had traditionally offerred. Last year Disney offerred a buy 5 nights get two free nights during the same time frame. IMO, that was a better incentive to stay @ Disney. I don't see why the free dining offer is being perceived as a lure specifically aimed at those afraid of hurricanes when they have traditionally offerred similar deals.

If you stay at a value it is $77 per night. The savings for the 7 for price of 5 offer is only $154 (plus tax) at a value. For a family of 4 staying at a Value the dining plan is a $90/day value or a savings of $630. I like to eat 1 table service per day and paying for the dining plan would save me money. Getting it free saves me a heckuva lot of money. That is a great deal IMO for my family.
the 7 for 5 deal included park tickets as well... so there was add'l savings (and last year the ticketing structure was very different so the savings was greater than it would be under the myw pricing)
we saw michael w smith last year in the rain too!! it was totally awesome for us, we just enjoyed it and hoped it was "healing rain"!! we are planning to go again this year,,,its only 2 days this year,,,last year it was 3 days as they were just trying that out,,,
