Free make-up!

My husband works at the Penneys home office. Penneys definitely does not own Sephora! But my local Penneys has a Sephora inside, and the same mall has a Sephora, but Penneys carries the BE. The only thing that our Sephora inside Penneys does not carry is the hair products. But that is because it would be in competition with the hair salon at Penneys, which also carries hair products. I have to say that the 2 of them seem to work together. If the Penneys Sephora runs out of something, they will call down to the Sephora in the mall and they will honor it. I guess it all depends on each store.

I switched to BE about a year ago. The full sized makeup lasts a very long time for me. One full sized foundation lasts 4-5 months for me. When I was using MAC, I would go through the makeup a LOT faster. The blush lasts even longer because the color goes a LONG way!

Thank you! I have been wanting to try this but didn't want to spend a fortune. I can't wait for it to get here!:goodvibes Does it come with the brush?

Thanks I just ordered three samples as well...I'm looking forward to trying this kind of makeup!!!!

Hi Girls-
For those of us who ordered, what do you think????? I have always used GLO Minerals before using the BARE samples. Although the BARE seems nice, it is a bit heavier feeling than my GLO MINERALS. The only downside to the GLO is that I can only seem to get it in my cosmetic surgeon's office (I haven't checked EBay though....you can probably find it there).

Tell me how satisified you are with the samples you received. I tried the medium beige and tan samples......both seemed almost the same and I couldn't tell the difference.

I got my 3 samples: light fairly, light, and medium beige. I can't tell much of a difference in color between them either. It seems to have more of a sheen than the Loreal mineral makeup I've been using.

I tried to put some swatches on to see which looked the best, but the one that blended in best on my forehead was not the same color that seemed to blend in best on my cheek- I don't know if I mixed up the samples or what. I will have to redo it and also let it wear for a while. Sometimes it seems like something that looked good inside looks too orange and hour later or when I go outside.

I just got mine and am stumped--can someone explain what to do with the white sticker with the arrow? I tried peeling it off but can't seem to do anything with it? Or am I supposed to pull off the whole transparent plastic lid, which I can't do either?

IIRC, you should be able to pull up the white sticker (it's been a while since I ordered from BE). I remember having to work at it with a pair of tweezers.

Yeah...the sticker should just come right off but one of mine was a bit more difficult. Using tweezers is a good suggestion....

I think it really makes my pores look large, I am not happy with it. I have always wanted to try it, so I guess I'm glad I didn't spend big bucks on it.

I got mine today. Each sample was a little bigger than the diameter of a quarter, I'd say. My 3 were "fairly light." I've used Youngblood before and have been using Arbonne for the past couple of years. I didn't think the coverage was as good as with Arbonne's mineral product but I'll throw it in my purse for a weekend getaway or last minute touch up at work, if needed. Didn't think it was worth the $4.23 shipping for all 3 - wished I had picked up one sample at the mall instead. (Oh yeah, that would have cost me $4.23 in gas... and who knows what else I would've bought while I was there!) :rotfl2:

As for that stupid arrow, I have no clue what it was trying to indicate but I was able to eventually peel off the sticker covering the make up holes. For those traveling, I suggest you NOT remove the entire label from a full-size package or you'll have a boatfull of make up on top of the holes! I found out the hard way; now I use a pair of medical scissors to only remove about 1/2 the sticker top so I don't lose so much make-up through the holes when I travel.

Has anyone received an $89 charge on their credit card for this? I didn't realize there was a 10 day trial and if you didn't send it back within the timeframe, you would be billed $89. Maybe I'm stupid, but I didn't notice this.
And the charge came from Pure Essentials, not Bare Essentials. I feel ripped off, big time.

No. When did you get yours? This doesn't even sound right. It's a ten day "sample". So there should be no charges other than shipping. Did you call and dispoute it?

I looked at my statement and it is from BAREESCENTUALSCOM

Has anyone else gotten charged?

I googled pure esssentials. It's not makeup. It's stuff like Downy, Tide and bounce.
