Free KFC 2 peice PLUS 2 sides & biscuit coupon!!!

So they are telling us to fill out a form at KFC and TRUST that the employees actually are going to get around to sent the forms, WITH OUR PERSONAL INFO to some coupon clearinghouse, and eventually send them out to the customers.... Yeah, that'll work out. Who didnt see this coming??? I would love to know who was the genious who thought it was a good idea to offer a PRINTABLE coupon for a free meal. No one would have thought to copy them.

I'm surprised at how angry people are about this. I mean, I'd like to get the free meals too, but it's not like someone stole something from me. I feel bad for the franchises who got slammed by this. Corporate stores are another thing, but the franchises had no idea this was coming and are out all the $$$. With the response from all of this that could kill their business!

All tht bring said though, the marketing people who coordinated with Oprah have to be idiots not to have seen this coming. Come on--4 per family--printable? Stupid!

When large company's have promotions there are ways to make it a tax write off or at least part of it, it might not be so bad and its bringing them lots of new customers, to be honest i dont think i would of bought this chicken at first with out trying it for free, i liked it and i will buy it again. once this crazyness is over haha

So are ANY KFC's giving the meals at this point?

Or it's all just a rain check basis?

We went on the day it came out, to 2 different KFC's and it was INSANE.
People were wrapped around the outside of the building in line, the drive through had probably 30 cars in it, we didn't bother.
It would have taken hours.
Weird and poor planning!

I saw the man say that we can go into our local restaurant OR VISIT the KFC web site to fill out the form. I looked on the KFC web site for a form, but I couldn't find it. Has anyone found a way to do it online without visiting the restaurant? I will fill out and print out the form and mail it myself if I can find out what the requirements are.

We went in and signed up for free coupons. On our nightly news it said that our area KFCs were all issuing coupons for different times to people who came in with the printed ones.

We used 2 last night and 2 the night before, no problems either night. The chicken was great! We enjoyed it. No problems with our KFC. We got to pick our sides as well.

If this is the same CuponPrinter.exe that i've encountered before it's bad. I work as a tech in a distribution factory and (against my better judgement) one of the secretaries talked me into installing it on a computer so they could print coupons during lunch. The next morning I came in and corporate had a log of 7,000 virus alerts from that computer.

Personally, (from someone who does this for a living), never ever trust or allow things to be installed from the web unless it's absolutely a wide spread valid source (Java..directly from Sun, Macromedia Flash..etc) and even then you gotta be careful. I haven't checked it lately but the free version of real player used to install a whole host of spyware and just all around bad stuff.

I've worked in marketing -- I can see this a mile away........

This is a way for KFC to get a million addresses that they know are good, valid addresses. Then they will sell their mailing list (companies do this all the time) and we'll all start getting junk mail from whomever bought the list.

KFC makes a ton of money from the list alone.

You nailed it! Our franchise had exactly ONE day notice on this. There was no $#&*@ way we could have been properly prepaired. It has been a nightmare, and now we have to deal with the angry people being told to fill out the raincheck stuff. :headache:

This has been the most stressful week I have ever had at work. I need a WDW vacation. :rotfl:

My Grandmother went in last night with the coupon I had given her and it worked fine. She said that last week she was given a free piece just for being there too, so KFC must be really trying to promote this new chicken!

They should have done it like Mars is for the candy bar. You fill out a very short form and only 1 per household per week, max 4. They will mail you a coupon to use. Much better idea!

i'm sorry but i don't think that is 100% true... i work for a financial office and we have a VERY secure network and i downloaded it, had it for MONTHS never had one issue.

El Pollo Loco chicken is honoring the KFC coupons on Mother's Day. The restaurant has press releases to challenge KFC that their chicken is better. The El Pollo Loco chicken also take's competitor's coupons ,therefore, they may be honoring them other days other than Mother's Day as well. Probably a case by case basis.

Awesome! I like El Pollo Loco a whole lot better than KFC. I was going to make a picnic lunch for Mother's day but we'll do that instead! Woohoo!!

Last night i was driving my dd home after practice and remembered that there was a KFC on the way home (Thurmont, MD)...

I happened to have two of my coupons with me so figured i'd try since it was after typical dinner hours.

They gave us both our choice of sides and of meat....

I got a breast and a leg... (both were tasty)

No problems at all ....

Thanks O, Thanks KFC, etc... :rolleyes1

Did anyone watch Oprah today? She had KFC's president on today to address the issue with the coupons. 42 million coupons were downloaded and they didn't anticipate so many people trying to use their coupons at one time. The response was clearly overwhelming. So, they decided to do the raincheck thing instead. I applaud their attempt to satisfy their customers. They definitely are doing the right thing. Unlike Quiznos. Who will never, ever get my business again after their "Free" sub fiasco. Kudos to Oprah and to KFC! DH got his free meal the other day. So, I'll stop by to give my info for my free meal tomorrow.
