Free Internet Access??

Do all the resorts offer free internet access now or just deluxe? We are going next week and with work and college, I was wondering if you still have to pay.

All Disney resorts now have free wireless for guests. There are varying reports of how well it works though - it depends on where you are in the resort.

We were just at BLT and I found the service was better mid-day and late evening. It was very intermittent in the mornings and evenings. That makes sense....it's probably when more people are in their rooms.

It's all resorts, as I said in the top post. If you mean how it works, it is much more dependent on your room location than your resort.

I know I read your post from the top, I was asking in the point of the post before about when it is better to use and where it is better in the resort. I understand that all resorts have them.

I thought I had read that the value resorts were not going to offer free wifi. I say about time wifi is a standard amenitie at almost any where you stay

I see a PP posted their experience with "when" at their resort - I didn't notice any difference in when on our last 2 trips.

But where is really a crapshoot. At OKW in April, the wireless worked just fine in our villa. But in January, we were at the BC on the 5th floor. Wireless worked okay down in the CL lounge at one end of the hall and basically didn't work at all in my room at the other end of the hall. The staff members said they were aware of the issue and that another repeater was supposed to be added to the hallway to improve it.

I have seen numerous wireless reports from the same resort in which one person said it worked great and someone else said it was barely working. So I'd say there's no way to predict how it will work for you in your room until you get there. You will probably get more consistent access in a public place like the lobby, from some reports I've seen.

But there is no more paid wired Internet unless you just happen to stumble upon some room where they haven't pulled it yet, but I think that's very unlikely at this point. If you have "must do" things on the Internet during your trip, the best advice is to get an air card.
