Free Internet Access at DVC Resorts??

We are renting points from a DVC member to stay at the Boardwalk this Christmas season

We plan on bringing a laptop so I can upload my pictures at the end of each night and was just wondering if there is free internet access at the BWV. If so (or even if not)...is the internet in the rooms a hard wire or wireless??

Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

DVC members get free internet, but not those who rent. (Some renteres have reported that they did, but AFAIK, they are not entitled to it).

There are internet hook ups in the rooms (wired) and you can pruchase it for $9.95 / per 24 hour period. For the BWV, the instructions and a cable are in a bag that is usually hanging in the closet.

Thanks for the quick reply. If I have to pay, no biggie...I'll probably just upload pics every other day rather than every day---and if for some reason I show up and plug my computer in and it doesn't prompt me for payment, I'll consider it an early Christmas present.

You can upload pictures for two consecutive days if you time it correctly. For example, sign on at 10 pm one night, upload, and then be sure to sign on and finish your upload for the the next days pictures before 10 pm.

I did think of that---but hey, it's vacation and to me, getting that all coordinated sounds like a lot of work

It will prompt you for payment whether you are a member or not. The charge is applied to your room bill and for members, it is credited back.
