Free Fall into All Stars Fridge Swap- Fridge is Lost!!!!!

I don't know if you need to do this (BUT, just in case you find it) take my name off the list so that way if they do find it the swapper after me will not be looking to me for it. We have decided to just bring a small cooler with us.

Thank you for all your hard work w/ the fridge!!!! I know it had to be alot of work for you to keep up with it that long!!! GREAT JOB!!!!

FYI: There is a fridge at lost and found with purple on the box labeled for a K. Gerber.

BOTH of my fridges are now lost .

C88fly was also signed up for my swap but never picked up the fridge (even tho I got a text message saying otherwise ) so it was never relabled and it snow-balled from there. It too was last seen at the Sports.

My other fridge went MIA after being handed off to a bell hop in the room . at the Sports also.

So, if any of your swappers see the following fridges I would love to know:

Fridge in box with purple duct tape w/signs that say OH Bother Fridge Swap on all 4 sides.

Fridge in a box with lime green duct tape w/ signs that say Just Keep Swapping on all 4 sides.

Sort of suspicious that THREE fridges all went missing from the Sports resort!

I was told that anything that is unclaimed goes to central property lost and found for 90 days.

I betcha that is one of my fridges. It has lime green duct tape on the box, signs that say Just Keep Swapping Fridge Swap on all 4 sides and written in permanent marker on top of the fridge is contact info for G. Muhs and a phone number to call if lost/found/unclaimed or purple duct tape and Oh Bother Fridge Swap signs w/ same contact info on the top of the fridge??

I would love to hear if that description is familiar to any of your recents swappers who used the "mystery" fridge. And if so, where was it last seen and who was it labeled for?

However, when jtslykin arrived only 2 days later, the fridge was missing as well as our own fridge at ASMovies which was left on April 10th and never retrieved. I can only assume they are both at Lost and Found, do you have any idea how to get in touch with anyone there? Could the next swappers talk to management at their resort and try to see if they can be located?

When I go in June, my first day there was planning on rounding up fridges and strollers for my family, and, if time allows, sitting by the pool at resort. So... I will try all three resorts and lost and founds, as I can, also, unless all is found before me. So, here's hoping they are, for everybody before me, but will give you an update when I get back (no laptops going) on how I made out, and/or take your phone numbers along. PM or email me and give me a description of the box, what was on it, if anything, closer to before I leave, if it isn't found!

The fridge is still missing. I contacted the lost and found department at WDW where All Star Movies transferred me to. The lady I spoke to there told me that they used to have a lot of fridges coming in and they were put in a shed, but management had notified them these swap things could not be going on on property and she hasn't seen very many recently. She took my number and said she would call me back if she could find it. I have not heard anything.
Gina, I'm so glad you found yours- how on earth did it get from All Star Sports left for someone in my swap (accidentally) to Coronado Springs? Do they just randomly move them from one place to another? I assume ours is long gone since it has not been seen since April 10th when it was left at All Star Movies with my name on it.

Yah, and my other fridge went missing April 12 when it was given to a castmember/bell hop in the room at the All Star Sports. Hmmm...sort of suspicious if you ask me!!

I can understand management not wanting to promote the swaps BUT if that is the case then they shoud communicate this to the swapper that comes to get it. Tell them that they need to tell their "leader" that the swaps need to stop and give us a chance to warn others and claim our property!! But for both of our fridge to go missing at the same resort, 48 hours apart, is mighty upsetting! I am just grateful to the castmember at Coronado for being on the ball, noticing my contact info and then taking the time to track me down.

I still have some dates for 2009 open in case anyone on your swap wants to switch over.

Our fridge has been found!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The housekeeping manager at ASMovies said she has had it since it was left in the room a couple of months ago! I'm going to try to contact the swappers at WDW now to see if they mind helping to get our swap back on track.

Well shut the front door!!! YAY !!!

Wow, big surprise that it went missing after being left in a room!!! It will happen every single time...please take note future swappers! You guys lucked out as in the past mousekeeping has just taken them home assuming they were discarded by the guest in that room.

Good luck getting things back on track and keeping them on track. I believe there are now only 3 All Star Swaps remaining so hopefully there will be less confusion.
