Free DVC internet

In the last vacation magic book that we had just before Xmas was there an article in there about the free internet for DVC members from 2008? If there was did this state that the free internet will start in 2008 or does it specifiy spring. We are staying in Wilderness Lodge and they have no knowledge of this and if we can supply any evidence of it starting in 2008 we can it for free.

Hi there,

I believe that it states on the additional letter supplied it is starting on the 1st Feb 08 for all guests staying on points. Member services should be able to help you with this info. Sometimes the resorts are the last to know about up and coming things.

Try the main DVC board for more info.

Initially they'd said January 1st, but during our recent stay at SSR we queried the charge and they told us it had been put back to "Spring". I've just pulled this from the DVC site:

Daily Internet charge to be discontinued this spring
Based on Member feedback, the daily charge for wired high-speed Internet access for Members staying at Disney Vacation Club Resorts at the Walt Disney World® Resort is slated to be discontinued once system enhancements are in place this spring. Guests renting Disney Vacation Club accommodations will continue to pay the daily rate for access, and high-speed Internet access charges still apply to Members staying at non-Disney Vacation Club Resorts.
