I've been reading many a posts today and have constantly seen references to this. What the heck is it and when the heck does it get offered, etc??? DH and I are planning our 10th wedding anniversary trip next fall and WDW is one of the possibilities. Would love more info on this!!

Apr 1986 - offsite
Sept 2002 - POR
Apr 2003, Aug 2003, Mar 2005 - Disneyland (daytrips)
Sept 2006 - offsite

Only 16 more days until our WDW Trip!!! :tinker:

It was a promo that came out I think in April. It's for trips taken between Aug 13 to Sept 30. It was for those who booked a package deal staying at a disney resort. But it expired in June I think.

They had it last year. So we planned a trip for Sept 2006 hoping it would be offered again and it was.

It's Magic Your Way Dining and it's normally about $38 per person per day. You get 1 table service, 1 counter service, and 1 snack per day. We were planning to purchase it anyway. It seems like a great deal. I'm sure we will spend more than $38 per day on food.

We went ahead and booked our trip hoping it would come out. I called when it did and got my booking amended to include the free dining. It took over $500 off our final payment amount.

Good luck for next year and happy anniversary!

Hey, just noticed you're from Indiana too. Pleased to meet you.

Have fun planning your trip. We've been planning ours for over a year. We're from Plainfield. We're taking our 18 month old son soon. Can't wait.

I'm a Hoosier alrighty, but have to wait 5 more years to move back. I was born and raised in the Indy area (Broad Ripple and then moved to Carmel in HS). While at IU my best friend got married and I was introduced to her new BIL. Well her new BIL became my husband 8 1/2 months after their wedding. Dh is an Air Force pilot so we've lived all over the country for the past 10 years including both East & West coasts. I'm back in the south again (yuck! I don't like the painfully hot summers here that stretch from April until October). DH retires in just under 5 years and we'll retire back home in Indiana with family.

Did you know there's a resort for military personnel? I think. I read about it here on the boards some. I think it's Shades of Green. I don't really know much about it. But it might be worth checking into. They may even offer a discount. I'm thinking I also read that they didn't qualify for free dining, but again, I'm not sure.

Well, have fun planning your trip. I think that's half the fun.

I have my toes crossed that they will offer this great deal again next summer/fall as we weren't able to take advantage of it this year and it's killing me!!!!

I don't know if its an indication that you will be offered it but over here in the UK we have been offered it for 2007. If we go between Aug 12th and Sept 29th and buy our park tickets we get the dining plan free.

So maybe they will offer it to you guys soon.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you. :wizard:

I just called last night thinking they MIGHT take pity on me and offer the free DDP for our last minute trip. No luck. I believe the CM chuckled a bit as she said, no dear that ended over a month ago. Oh well, can't blame a girl for asking. ;)
