I heard that this September 2008 they are offering the Dining Plan FREE. First is that true and second if so how do you get that? Do you need to make reservations through the Disneyworld site, call or something else??? We are going the first week in September in 2009 and are hoping it's free then. Thanks for any help.

I don't know if it is free for this year (it has been free during that time period for last 2 years) but looking at past schedule it probably will be. This is the time of year when WDW tries to get business up again as school begins around the country and also as it is the active season for Hurricanes. Keep checking this site or mousesavers on a weekly basis to see when it becomes available (by either phone or using WDW online).

Yes free dining is open then. It ends Sept 20th. It would be best to call Disney so you can see if there is a room available at the resort you want. There is only a limited number of rooms at each resort eligable for the free dining. Also remember that you will be required to pay the tip yourself. that is no longer included.

It is true that they are offering free dining for this September (2008), but they will not announce free dining for 2009 (if it is offered again) until sometime the first or second week of April (2009, if it works the same as the past two years).

Soooo, if free dining is available in September 2009, you can call Disney directly, or book on their website.

Yes they are offering the Basic dining plan free.You would need ti purchase a magic your way pkg including resort stay at regular price( no other discounts apply)The reservation can be made on the phone or online.Free dining is only avail.for the months of August and September as these months are in prime Hurricaine season an attendance seems to be down a little.As for next year, you will not know if it is being offered next year until the beginning of April 2009, if they offer it at all ( no reason to think it won't be, but disney changes things all the time)

The basic plan is free, from 8/24 - 9/20, 2008.

The receive this discounted package, you must book by June 22.

If you book on-line, you must follow the link for free dining. If you call, you must request it... you do not automatically receive free dining by traveling during those dates.

Know one know for sure about 2009, yet, but... here's hoping!
