Free Disney Dining in Spring?

Does anyone know if Disney has offered free dining in the Spring? We are having problems finding a week next year in the fall to come down for free dining, and seem to remember a week or two in the spring where it's offered? Any info would be helpful. JeanneLB

No, free dining has always been offered to the general public for stays in late August through September.

It has historically been announced in the Spring, usually in early April.

Agree with pp...This year they did extend free dining into OCt,Nov,Dec. But it was not offered to everybody.You had to have gotten a person specific pincode in order to utilize it, and they were totally random as to who got them.

Around April 10 is when the Fall Free Dining Promo dates for the general public are usually announced. April 10 is the begining of the Easter holidays. Disney has never offered free dining or any discounts for that matter, during a major holiday like Christmas, Easter or 4th of July.

And just to clarify, the free dining pin code offers that are currently being discussed, on about every board on the DIS, are being sent in emails to individuals for select dates in October, November and December. They are random and are non-transferrable and are not part of the general public free dining offer that is normally held the last part of August through September.

Thanks...of course that makes sense that it would be the start date for the fall promo.

I received both the emails you guys are talking about and I am thinking about changing my trip to 12/14-12/21. The free dining for 5 pp is very tempting!!! Only thing holding us back is thinking that the crowds might be horrible. Anybody have any thoughts on this? Do you think they are offering these extended times for free dining because they are really slow?
