There were two of us on our Disney trip, my DW and myself. It was our third time on the dining plan, one time paid and two times free. We really enjoyed the dining plan, as we have the last two times. We stayed at Pop Century, arriving the night of 9/20 and departing early on 9/28. We usually visit Disney once a year and I read the boards on a daily basis.

Each morning we ate breakfast in our room---bananas, trail mix, granola bars, donuts (snack credit), coffee (refillable mug from Pop), and water (shipped from Staples).

9/21
Lunch—Columbia Harbor House
We shared a ham sandwich, chocolate cake, and Coke. The sandwich was very good as usual. Had hoped to make it back later in the week to try the tuna, but couldn’t work out the time.

Dinner—Flying Fish
This was our first time at this restaurant.
DW had shrimp cocktail, potato-wrapped red snapper, and fig tart. I had crab cake, salmon, and peach/cake dessert. We enjoyed everything—the salmon dish had a nice mix of fall vegetables. Desserts were good, but not the best of the week.

9/22
Lunch—Pop Century Food Court
We shared a cheese steak wrap with fries, tie-dye cheesecake, and drink. The wrap was real good—hot and good with the barbeque and mustard sauces.

Dinner—Spoodles
DW had Margherita flatbread, lemon-garlic shrimp linguine, and the dessert sampler. I had the garlic shrimp appetizer, steak kabobs, and the dessert sampler. DW meal was excellent—there must have been one pound of shrimp in her entrée—way too much to finish. My appetizer as okay—it was sort of lukewarm, but I am assuming it is meant to be served hot. Steak kabobs were good and tender—and too much to finish. We shared the dessert sampler, which was very good. Service here was only fair—the server was not real attentive to our table (but, the tables beside us with extra drinks did get full attention from him). Anyway, the meal was good and somewhat of a surprise given some of the negative reviews on the board.

9/23
Lunch—Flame Tree Barbecue
DW had the ½ chicken and chocolate cake, and I had the ½ slab of ribs and key lime pie. Both meals were very good. But we do miss having the option of the Tusker House.

Dinner—Wolfgang Puck Express
DW had the turkey sandwich and I had the vegetable foccacia---both were very good.

9/24
Lunch—Pizzafari
DW had Italian sandwich and chocolate cake, I had pepperoni pizza and apple pie. Sandwich was good, the pizza just okay (the basic counter service pizza).

Dinner—Narcoossee’s
Overall this was the best meal of our trip (for the second year in a row). DW had chilled shrimp, grilled scallops, and coconut-mango panna cotta. I had crab cake, fillet and lobster tail, and almond-crusted cheesecake. Our meals were excellent here—and the service was great—the best service of the week.

9/25
Lunch—Sunshine Seasons
DW had the beet and goat cheese salad and the fruit tulip. I had the ham and salami grinder and strawberry bavarian. Salad, sandwich, and fruit tulip were very good, the bavarian was not what I expected—basically like flavored cool whip.

Dinner—Wolfgang Puck Express
DW had the tuna pocket, which had potato cubes and a light, citrus-type dressing—it was different but good. I had the roast beef and cheddar sandwich, which was a little disappointing. The roast beef was real dry and not much on the sandwich—surprising compared to what we have had here before.

9/26
Lunch—Sunshine Seasons
DW had the vegetable Cuban and strawberry shortcake and I had the turkey and muenster on foccacia and butterfinger cheesecake---everything was very good.

Dinner—Boma
We had reservations at 5:00, but arrived early and were seated around 4:35. We had a little of just about everything. The salads were very good, as was the prime rib and salmon.

9/27
Lunch—Pop Century Food Court
We both had the cheese steak wrap and fries, was good just like earlier in the week. We got our dessert about an hour later---hot fudge sundae and carrot cake. The sundae was huge—the bowl was totally filled with ice cream and hot fudge.

Dinner—California Grill
This was our anniversary night and the table was decorated with Mickey confetti. The host, server, and manager all acknowledged us and our anniversary. Another server took our picture and brought it back in a Contemporary Resort photo card, along with the anniversary buttons---all was very nice. Now to the meal—DW had chilled lobster, red snapper, and valrhona chocolate and coffee. I had the quail, buffalo strip steak, and plum tart. DW meal was excellent, my steak was very tough (I order well-done, so maybe partially my fault---steak kabobs at Spoodles were much better), but the quail and plum tart was excellent. Each dessert had a piece of chocolate with happy anniversary. Overall a nice atmosphere for our last night, everyone was very nice.

We used snack credits for a variety of things---two boxes of donuts in the Pop food court, dipped treat at Goofy’s, sundaes at Pop food court, milkshake at Epcot Fountainview, ice cream bar at Pop, and pieces of fudge at the candy store in the MK.

We had a great trip and it was fun using the dining plan again--overall the food was very good. Please let me know if you have any questions.
