Technically, valet parking is only free at the DVC Resorts, but...
One valet tag from any WDW resort is good for the whole day, at all resorts. Thus, if you have a tag from a DVC Resort, the valet parking for the rest of the day, at all resorts is included.
That's sort of a back door approach to free valet parking. I always point out to the valet that I didn't pay for my valet tag from the DVC resort, but they always insist it's taken care of.
Clear as mud?
PS- Don't forget about tipping!

I'm with ya. I thought the same thing, but repeatedly I've been told by the valet that the tag is good.OKWAnneMarie said:I know that one valet tag is good for the whole day, but I didn't think the tag I get at Old Key West for the whole trip would be good at the other resorts.

WebmasterDoc said:Old Key West does not have valet parking since you can park right next to your building. The parking pass issued at check-in is not for valet service, it it your parking pass for your resort and will also provide free access to all Theme Park parking lots. All guests at all WDW resorts will get a similar pass - but none are for the valet service.
DVC Members do get free valet service only at VWL, BWV and BCV. As Maistre Gracey pointed out, you will get a valet tag good for that day. The free DVC service is not supposed to be valid at any other resorts, but sometimes it will happen.
I agree with everthing you have said.DisneyKidds said:When a DVC member uses free valet parking at a DVC resort they are not supposed to get a valet parking tag (your rsort parking pass is not a valet parking tag). These valet parking tags are the ones that hang from a mirror, are colored (red, green, whatever color they are using for the day), and have the current date stamped on them. On occasion the valet person might (mistakenly) put one of these tags in your car when you use the free valet parking. If that happens you will have a WDW valet parking tag for the day that will be honored at all WDW resorts. As far as the other resorts are concerned you have already paid for valet parking for the day (even though you haven't) and they won't charge you.
If I've used free valet parking 50 times over the past few years I might have gotten a valet parking tag that was honored at other (non-DVC) resorts a half a dozen times. It's nice if you get it, but you aren't supposed to have it and shouldn't plan on it.
Policy is that valet parking is free at DVC resorts only and that's usually what happens.

Can we park at Beach Club, Boardwalk or other DVC resort (not necessarily Valet) if we wish? Can I do the Valet park even though we aren't staying at a DVC resort this trip?
DisneyKidds said:Ding, ding, ding.........there's our ticket to free GF valet parking. We always drive there to eat at 1900 Park Fare, and we are DDE members. Does that just apply to dinner, or woulod it also apply if we eat breakfast there?
