Free dinning at the Beach Club?

I reserved a Disneyworld package including dinning staying at the Beach Club for a 9 night September 2017 vacaction back in October 2016. I had read all about the rumors of free dinning coming available on that Monday and set my alarm for 3 am that morning. Sure enough it was released and that moment I began to call Disney. Busy tone. For over 2 1/2 hours I diligently called. I brought my daughter into school late and viola a cast member answered. To my dismay no availability at the BC for free dinning. How is that possible? Were the available rooms taken within those 21/2 hours? I had pool view. My only option was going club level and saving about 850 dollars or going over to the YC getting the FD, garden view and saving over 2600 dollars. Would you believe I thought for a moment until I snapped out of it and chose the YC. My question is did anyone get free dinning at the BC?

They only include a certain number of rooms for any given discount. Once they're gone, that's it. It's also possible that no rooms at BC were included in the Free Dining offer or there were very few and they were indeed snapped up in that 2.5 hours. Offers are made to fill rooms. If a resort is at their target occupancy rate already, they will not include any rooms in the offer.

Thank you. I felt ready and prepared but it didnt work. The pro is I save a lot of money and stay at the YC. Just wanted to know if anyone were at the BC and received FD.

The majority of of the time with deluxe resorts, it works out better to pay out of pocket for food and try to book room only with a discount code.

To save $2600 by switching to the YC, I definitely think you made the right decision. They are both really very similar resorts with the same amentities, plus YC are refurbishing all their rooms. $2600 is a lot of money. Good choice.
