Free dinner at Hard Rock Cafe - Virgin

I noticed the following on the Virgin Holidays site a couple of days ago:

FREE dinner - on us!
New for 2004, all Virgin Holidays guests receive a FREE dinner at the world famous Hard Rock Café including a choice of main meal, soft drink PLUS priority seating.

We've booked a fly drive package for May so I wondered if we would qualify, and emailed Virgin to check. Turns out that any customer booking through Virgin Holidays is entitled , but that you have to get the voucher from the welcome meeting at Downtown Disney

Am now wondering if it's worth attending, even though we're veterans by now and will have all our passes in advance.

If anyone is going over in the next few weeks and plans on attending the meeting perhaps they wouldn't mind reporting back their experiences along with the details of the Hard Rock offer?

We will be taking up this offer when we go on the 31/01/2004.

When I contacted Virgin last year about this offer the reply was:


Hello,

Thanks for your e-mail.

This offer applies to passengers travelling next year so if this is the case for you, when you arrive in Orlando you will need to go and see your rep and get your voucher.

I hope this has been of some help.

The way this reads it seems as though you can just collect the voucher from the Rep without attending the meeting.

Thanks Roger, that's great news. I normally run into a rep at the Virgin/Dollar counter, so I guess I could try to get the voucher there (please let me avoid the welcome meeting )

Other than that, do what we did. Turn up at the end of the meet and just ask for your tickets then, We were in and out within 15 mins.

I dont think they do the DTD welcome meeting anymore (at least they didnt last summer). Instead a rep came to our hotel lobby early the day after we arrived.

There was no presure from her to sell anything - we ended up having a nice chat about Florida
