When is free dining usually offered? If it is offered when I will be at WDW and I have the regular dining plan can I upgrade to the deluxe?

Also, where is the dis calculator I keep reading about?

For the past couple years, the only time free dining was offered to the public was Sept-mid Dec with several black out dates within the time frame.

You can upgrade the plan for a charge. Those differences for this year are in a sticky at the top of this forum.

I can't help with the calculator, but someone should come along with a link. It won't help you with free dining, anyway. It's to help you decide between paying for the plan and paying OOP. I also think you get a better idea if you go through the menus and decide what you might order. You have to make yourself choose based on what you WANT without regard to price to make it a true assessment.

If you are talking about your trip April 13-23 at Art of Animation ....

- Free Dining is not offered during that time.
- Unless you are in a suite, Free Dining has not been offered to LM rooms.
- Value resorts are offered the QSDP for free, so it would be a double upgrade.
- This would also mean paying full price for your room plus the meal upgrade charges plus at least 2 day tickets.
