Free Dining??

I am wanting to book a trip to Disney in November 2012 - when would they announce free dining - is that even offered this time of year??

I've heard that they release offers for November in August. I'm hoping anyways. Free Dining has been offered before at that time of year. I'm leaving November 5th, so here's hoping!

I called today to ask if I had a PIN (sadly, no), and the lady I talked to said historically it has been late July/early August when the offers come out. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Last year it was August 8th the year before it was August 6th and the year before it was August 10th I would have a look on the rumor board that's how I found out about it last year!

In the past they've announced Free Dining to Disney Visa cardmembers a few days before it is announced to the general public.

Just expect a long wait on the phone once its announced. We always book early and then add the free dining to our reservations. Last year, I called on the Visa cardmember dining announcement day for our Oct. 2011 trip and sat, at work, on hold for over 2 hours.

It was worth it - free dining during Food & Wine is just awesome!

I got a mailed pin code that shows the dates if that is what matters most. Here is what is on the postcard: 9/30-10/4, 10/19-11/1, 11/9-11/15, 11/23-11/29, 12/10-12/13 book through 7/28. The dates could vary a bit and I am sure the book through date will change but it should help anyone waiting on what dates will be offered.

Fore the person booked 11/5 it doesn't look good unless you can move your dates or rebook free dining on the 9th but then you would not get your park tickets for the package till then.

You can actually pick up your park tickets up to three days ahead of time. There's a thread or two about that on here somewhere. --Katie

That is something new then because as of about 2 years ago I was told I couldn't get my tickets till the day the new package started. I have always started my trip a couple days before free dining. I will also bet a million dollars it is going to be completely dependant on the CM you talk to and possibly your resort. That's the Disney way that not all CM's know how to do things others do.

Per the link posted above, uh oh, looks like at November 5 you will be a little early - is it possible to move your dates? Because the dates for November FD in the offer coming out on July 12 show as:
