So I have never been during free dining will it be impossible to have any sit down meals without ADR's? I made a few adr's for us but I don't want to eat counter service for all days.

Thanks

Pretty much - plus, you don't want to miss out on some fantastic restaurants! ADRs aren't that bad. We found it nice to not have to worry about when and where we were going to eat each day, having decided that before going and knowing for sure we had a reservation.

Our ADRs are the highlight of the day!

Just to add - even without free dining it is almost impossible to get into a sit down restaurant without an ADR most of the time. They book up fast - especially the popular ones. Don't take the chance. If you change your mind later you can always change your ADR IF you can get an opening where/when you want at short notice!!!

I already made CRT, Hoop De Doo, and Chef Mickey's, its too tough to make ADR's for my family and kids (6,4,and 2) for 9 days, we are staying in my DVC so I guess we'll be eating in a lot.

MAKE adr's unless you really have no issue with burgers and fries or counter service each and every day....
You can always cancel them if you do not feel like going....but very unlikely during free dine that you'd be able to walk up and get in for a sit down.

I'm going to move this over to our dining board for you.

Disney has a system now a breif over view is they will book a adr for every table and average the guests stay at each table for each restarant. So if there are 15 4 seat, 10 2 seat, and 10 6 seat tables they figure that each table will take 45min ( just a guess) then they will book a adr for each of those tables every 45 min. all day long if they can. This is for every ts resturant in the world. So if you walk up with out a adr they will put you on a list but will seat the adrs first and if there is a window for you to get a table they will give it to you. So my suggestion is to get the adrs and then you have them if you dont want to use them just call and cancel. For a better explaination see the unoffical guide they do a pretty good job of it in there dining section

If you want to be sure you get any TS dining inside a theme park you will need to have reservations.
