Free Dining

Can someone please explain how free dining works and how i go about booking a trip that includes it. We've always gone in June and now am thinking that it would be nice to have more spending money by not paying for food every day - i just don't know what it involves and how to do it.

we booked ours with disney uk last september for our aug trip this year. So you have missed the offer from disney uk for this year but disney usa might offer it.

You normally have to book the hotel and tickets together to get the free dining

Do you have to book it with Disney?? Also - what kind of Dining Plan is it?

we booked ours with disney as it was cheaper, most tour operators do the same offer.

We booked Port Orleans and the free dining was the counter service meal but we paid extra to upgrade to the regular dining plan i think it was about 50£ each extra to upgrade

Best deal for us was also thru Disney.co.uk as they gave 42% off a studio at OKW as well as free regular dining plan. Worked out at £91/night for studio and food for 2 adults and 1 teen. With the current exchange rate it works out cheaper than a budget room offsite and dining offsite which is what we usually do.
You would have to go a different time of year, June is already a busy time as all US schools are off then, doubt they need to do free dining. For UK offer you have to go August or Sept. It will be probably be offered on Disney.com in a few month but can't see there will be same deals as we got in UK. Package we bought cost £2,164 on Disney.com its over £6,000 just can't see them cutting prices so much.
