Free Dining?

I am a little confused...What exatly is the Free dining all about and how do i go about getting it, or does it have to be offered to you? I will be in WDW from Dec. 15th-20th and if there is such thing as free dining rather I would love to take advantage of it...(or is this the same as the Disney dining plan?)

Free dining is a special offer from Disney that generally runs from August to the end of September. It coincides with hurricane season and is offered as an incentive to keep the parks full when there's a risk of being blown away.

There are some extended offers being sent for October and November, but you have to receive an email from Disney with a PIN code to get free dining at that time.

Keep your eyes out next March/April for the August/September 2009 free dining offer. (Bounce back is being offered to those there right now, they generally offer it to the general public in the spring)

I have two different email addresses that I've used for ordering trip planning DVDs, and both addresses just recieved PIN codes for Free Dining 9/28/08-10/11/08, 11/9/08-11/22/08 and 12/14/08-12/20/08. Unfortunately the codes are Offer is nontransferable, so I guess it pays to get the DVDs.

Are you implying that I should subscribe to get the DVD's, and if so how do I go about doing that?

Early on in 2006 I learned that you sign up for every single email from Disney.

Go to their website - order maps, order videos, sign up for updates and newsletters. The more communication you receive from Disney, the higher your chances are to get special offers and PIN codes.

Ordering the Dvd does not neccessarily mean you will definitely get a pincode.It doesn't hurt, but it is no guarantee.I have ordered 3 dvds in the past year, and never got the pincode.I ordered in my spouses name too....nada

I agree with you, it only increases your changes. In no way does it guarantee anything.
