Free Dining??????

What does free dining mean? I have never done DDP, but keep reading that people are eatting for free.

Free Dining is a promotion disney has offered for the past couple of years in the fall where you can get the basic dining plan for free when you pay full price for your hotel and ticket package. And now we're all hoping they do it this year, too!!

Since 2005, Disney has been offering Free Dining during the last part of August until the end of September, give or take a few days. It has already been offered to UK visitors for mid-August through this September and to those of us who were there at WDW during Free Dining this past September for the dates of August 30 - September 27 2008 as a bounceback. The free dining for this year should be announced during the first week of April as in previous years. The first couple of days the promo will only be open to Disney Visa holders and then will open up to the general public.

I am a DVC member. Does that mean I can't get it since I don't "pay" for the rm when I am at WDW?

Keep an eye the the boards here for around April 7-9 that is when it was made available the last 2 years. We are already in on the bounce back but hope they open it to all so we have plenty of company.

DVC members staying on points are not eligible for the free dining promotion. It's only available to those booking a rack rate room/tickets package.
