free dining

I'm not familiar with the free dining, so I was wondering do they have it each year about the same time? or does it vary from year to year? Thanks for the help!!!

For the past 3 years it's been the same time. A few weeks of August to most of September.

Are the dates done and over with? I mean, is the promotion over to where they don't accept any more people? I'm looking at a trip in August and so far whenever I look on the WDW site nothing is mentioned about it. Are the dates I chose just non-qualifying dates?

It's over, you had to book by June 24th. But basically you booked a package on property and purchased a minium of a 1 day ticket and you got the dining for free for everyone listed on your package for the length of nights you stayed. Free dining is 1 counter, 1 table service and 1 snack per registered guest per night.

Oh I forgot to mention it was for travel dates in late August to September. We went the first year and absolutely it. I did not go last year and have it booked for this year, but don't think I am going to stay on property and use it. What are the travel dates you are looking for?

We're looking at august 5-11, so it probably isn't even late enough in August for it to qualify.

I'm confused about this as well. I called on Saturday and discussed my upcoming October trip with a CM. She offered us the free dining program. Is it really available to us? Everything else I'm reading is saying it was for August and September. I'm so confused.

The Disney Dining Plan is available year round. During the 'free' dining time, when you purchase the MY package, the DDp is at no additional charge.

You can purchase the DDP at other times in the year and I wonder if the CM was offering you the DDp as part of your package options rather at no cost.
