My husband and I are planning a trip for September for the two of us. We are selling our farm so its been a stressful year and we want to get away for the two of us.

I was thrilled to see the Free Dining discount in September. We are planning on going the 21-25.

To get to my question. My DH didn't want to book until June because we are waiting on to see if we were going to have a house in September because we aren't finding anthing we like yet.

For those of you who waited until the last minute to book DD did you have any problems getting the discount. We are planning on staying at a Mod resort possibly the Carribean Beach.

Thanks,

Jen

If you have any thought about doing this then book now and do the deposit; you can cancel by the final payment with no penalty.

What happens is that Values and Moderate resorts might not be available with the free dining thus forcing you into a studio at SSR or another Deluxe resort. Of course if you wanted a studio at SSR or Deluxe then it would be fine. LOL

I agree with LindyN. The way I understand it is that all the resorts have a certain number of rooms allotted for the specials. They may have rooms available for the nights you want, but you may not get free dining.

Book now.. cancel 45 or more days before arrival and you get 100% back anyway.. so what's to lose?

One more thing to consider is that while you'll probably get a room at the last minute, ADR's may be hard to come by. Last year I booked in June and had to have two ADR's at lunch.

Hi
I completely agree with the other posters. I just called today and switched our reservation from POP to CBR. I was offered standard room, water view or a king bed. So rooms are still available. You can cancel with no penalty before 45 days of your arrival.

Dining reservations are another story. I could not get Le Cellier or Coral Reef and the CM said other restaurants are filling up.

I think you can book ADR even if you haven't booked your room. Just cancel (to be nice to other guests) if you decide not to go.

Yup, this is a big one to think about. I had free dining for the past two years (this year I was lucky enough to get the 40% off code so didn't take up the free dining offer) BUT when I went to make my ADRs (back in March at the 180 mark) I was able to get all of my requests with some minor changes. Biggest change though was that at exactly 7am on my 180 day I couldn't get CRT for the first 3 days of my trip. (Due to the 180 plus 10 I guess). And this was in March...way before free dining came up.

Book now and make your ADRs now...cancel if need be :)
