Free Dining?

It is my opinion that they will offer 'something' this fall after the terrible storms of the last two years. What it might be I would have no idea but I am hoping for something we can use as we are planning on going again then.

What a generous thing to give away park tickets but I did not think they were transferable. Nice thought though. I was in line checking in one time when some sports group that was checking out was going down the line offering free one day passes. I had an AP so I passed on it.

I wonder if DW will close the loophole that allows us to give our extra food to others. It sure would feel good to pay for someone else's meal though.

While I am wondering might I ask your opinions? I understand that with so many using the meal plans that the restaurants are filling up but I was wondering if it might not be easier to get into them for lunch rather than dinner?

At that time, they had just given us a series of one day passes for the week (this was in 92), they didn't have our names on them or anything, and we didn't have to show our id when we would go through the gate, is there another way to identify who is using it?

Honestly, we were in such a hurry to get to the beach that we weren't being so much generous, but lazy... ;)

thatduffgirl, you are being modest. Lazy would have just tossed them away. You gave those people a wonderful memory and yourself some warm fuzzies for doing so. Good for you!!

Now keep in mind, the worst recent hurricanes, Katrina and Wilma happened in 2005. Since Free Dining packed the resorts inspite of Charlie, Jeanne, ect ect in 2004, it is still a possibility that if bookings are down, they come up with something as close. They opened free dining incentive for Aug/Sept in June of 2005 and closed it (book by)July 3rd 2005. Two weeks later they offered it again because bookings for Aug/Sept were still down with the incentive.

Sooooo, it is still a wait and see thing, but I would venture to say there is still hope.

There have been several posts like this one about free dining, some people seemed angry when I would post a optimistic note for free dining this year.

I wish I could go. I really shouldnt endulge. Last year was perfect too....
awwww man.....
