Free Dining will it be offered in December?

I have booked FWL Dec 5th-12th and I thought I read that December 2006 had free dining also. I am new to this free dining bit and was wondering what the dates where last year. I have read that the summer dates this year has been shortened from last year.

Afraid not! Free dining has been offered in '05 and '06 only during the months of August and Sept in order to lure people down there during peak hurricane season. I've been lucky enough to get free dining the last two Sept and will be going again with free dining this Sept. I've also been down there the last two Dec, but had to use an AP discount and use my DDE for food. Last Dec they had some sort of ticket special, but don't remember what it was. Someone else may?

If it were to be offered for some other time of year, other than hurricane season, I would expect it to be for January. There just isn't enough weeks in a row in December to offer it without overlapping a holiday period. Besides, there are a lot of other offerings in December they use to attract guests: Night of Joy, Christmas decorations, etc.

What you read was that it was offered in December to book for this Aug/Sept 07. It was offered to be used during December. The bounce back promotion was going on in Nov & Dec 06 for folks to prebook their summer vacataion with the free dining.

Actually early December books up very quickly. Last year some of the resorts were sold out during the first and second weekend of December. With the Christmas taping the first week and Pop Warner the second week, Disney can barely find places for everyone. DVC resorts are booked up also since it is a lower point time for them. Make those ressies early.
