Hi guys, We're hoping to go back to WDW in September 2010 and are hoping to get the free dining offer when/if it comes out in August.

I was wondering who is going this year and got a free dining package, and what kind of prices the holidays were?

Thanks :)

we upgraded from the counter service to the regular and we are paying £1615 for 15 nights at pofq and the regular dining plan and 2x 14 day passes

we got flights seperatly of £635 for both and then our car hire on top

Hi Craig. Hubby & I are going in September, staying in a Studio at Old Key West for 13 nights with the DDP (1TS + 1CS + 1Snack) & 21 day WDW tickets....£1581

We upgraded the park tickets as after the 13 nights we are going on a 4 night DCL cruise then returning to the Polynesian for 4 nights. :cool1: It was cheaper to have a 21 day ticket than buying them seperately.

We have booked a flydrive through Virgin Holidays for £968. We will book car hire for part of the trip through USrentacar.

Orangetiggs - Who did you book your flights with? You got a good price. :)

We got regular DDP free + 42% disc at OKW(only available at OKW & SSR)
2 x Adults + 1 x 15 year old. 16 night incl 3 x 21 day ultimate tickets, £2,164. Now the offer is over it would cost £4,034.52 (over £6,000 with Disney.com)

Flights we have our fingers crossed we are flying Biz class 6th-31 August, Booked last Oct at a mega low price of £1,395 for 3 of us, price to book today £3,659.70. Virgin want £2,200 for economy.

Booking a flydrive is rarely a good option in Sept, only benefits are only paying a deposit and you can book earlier than flight only.

You are basically buying flight only so if you have the money available a flight only deal with VA is almost certainly cheapest way to go. Just look at prices now plenty of dates available in Sept from £324.20 (Gatwick). If you are going these dates its almost worth cancelling and losing your £120pp deposit.

We got regular DDP free + 42% disc at SSR, 2 x Adults 14 night incl 2 x 14 day ultimate tickets, £2,134. This price was for a 1 bedroom so has a separate living room and kitchen, the bedroom has a king bed and additional TV and bathroom has over sized whirlpool bath and separate shower.

Wow - you guys all got amazing prices!

Did you book with Disney or Virgin to get the free dining?

wayneg and tubtruck - did you book your accommodation direct with Disney? They seem pretty good prices!

Yes, with Disney.co.uk. Paid in £ So exchange rate will not affect it.
I booked end of last year with the intentions of canceling if the £ rose significantly, would cost us £150 to cancel but could then stay and eat offsite which we prefer but as it stands we will keep the OKW studio with free DDP, its cheaper than a budget hotel + food offsite.

I booked a flight inclusive package with Disney.co.uk and paid £3715.00 for 2x Adults 1x 15 yr old staying at POR. That includes 14 days ultimate tickets, 3x upgrade to the regular dining plan and obviously flights with Virgin.
I probably could have got it cheaper but i booked at the time XL went bust so my DIY plans kinda went out the window. Disney were far cheaper for me than Virgin.

Oops just realised that you wanted prices from people going in Sept. Sorry my price is for Aug. That will teach me to read things properly!

Thanks Wayne. We were looking to upgrade to PE and I was going to call this week to change booking but following what you said I went onto VA & booked direct for £1415. Which is £430 cheaper than through VH so even after losing the £240 deposit I still saved £190. :cool1: Thanks again. :flower3:

I booked through Disney.co.uk - it was too good an offer to turn down. If I was to rebook today it would cost £2912.74 compared to the £1581 we paid. :smokin:

When do Disney usually offer free dining? August time?

I got 2 adults and 1 child in a 1 bed villa at SSR for 17 nights for £2200. Free dining and 3, 14 day passes (even though am annual passholder!) Leaving on 11th August and flying Virgin form Gatwick. Miles and money flights for a total of £1500. First time in school holidays and never thought we would be able to afford to go to SSR again. Had a great trip there in December 2007 but hasn't been the big discounts like this before. Just checked and price now £4824 so really hoping they repeat this offer for next year.

When they 1st released the offer holidays had to be booked between 20th August 2008 to 4th November 2008 for travel between 2nd August 2009 to 3rd October 2009 but they then extended the booking date to 2nd (I think)Dec

We booked a studio for one week (17th - 24th September) at SSR & 14 Day Disney tickets & free DDP, for the two of us it came to £975 :cool1:

Thanks for all the info guys. I'm also hoping to book for August/September 2010 so hoping that the offer is out again can't wait especially if the OKW/SSR offer is still available.

Thanks very much to everyone for all the info :thumbsup2

Sounds lke you all got some great deals - Fingers crossed something similar will be available this year!

Roll on August........
