Free dining vs Visa free dining (interesting)

Last week we saw Disney had offered the free dining to the Disney Visa card holders for arrival dates before Sept 29th. We booked 13 nights arriving on Sept 29th.
Now, Disney is offering the same package to the general puplic.
For kicks I checked pricing for 2 weeks earlier. I was thinking since it would have more days in Sept (value season) it would cost less. Not the case. it cost a few hundred more.

side note: refillible mugs included at a Moderate now. Is that new?

Refillable mugs are now a part of all the dining plans.

Make sure you are comparing equal level rooms. (standard to standard, water view to water view, etc...) Also, make sure you have the same amount of weekday nights and weekend nights in the comparison (weekend nights cost more)

I found the prices to be correct when I looked at them from one plan to another (Visa was GP offering).

The Disney Visa offer and the GP offer are always exactly the same in price and booking requirements. Nothing changes when the Disney Visa offer goes public.

I booked the same resort, same room type, same ticket type. 13 nights on the visa free dining plan was cheaper than 12 nights on the "on-line" free dining plan. Cheaper by $200.
I dont get it. I printed out my ressie details and everything seems to be correct.

Did the shorter reservation include trip insurance? Sometimes the booking defaults to including trip insurance, which has to be removed if you don't want it.
