Free Dining Upgrade

I did what seemed like endless searches for this question. Is it easier to upgrade from a package plan (prebooked tix and dining) or room only to get free dining if it comes out. We are trying to decide what to book now. If free dining does not happen for our dates (mid December), we will most likely do room only with Undercover tickets and pay OOP for food.

It truly makes no difference, so book now what you're willing to pay with or without the free dining offer. Of course, you wouldn't want to buy tickets from a third-party seller until you know if there will be a free dining offer for your dates.

Fact is, you can't really "upgrade" to free dining. It's a promotion that requires a completely new booking. As @sharonabe said above....book where you're willing to stay without the promotion, then hope for the best.

No...they cancel your reservation, and refund the $200 back to you...which you'll receive back in a few days. You'll have to put up another $200 deposit.

And of course, the more bookings the less they need to offer incentives to guests.

If you book a package and a Free Dining promo comes out, you may be able to modify it online so that your reservation includes the FD promo. You won’t be able to modify a room only booking to a free dining package. If you don’t have a change or modify button if/when a promo comes out, you should book a new reservation, then cancel the old one.
