Free Dining Upgrade to AP - Memory Maker Benefits Question

We are headed to WDW in November and our package includes free dining. We've added the Memory Maker option.

I know that we can upgrade to AP by paying the difference in our base ticket, which is 7-day MYW with Hopper, and the AP.

I also know that Photopass is one of the AP benefits. Does the Photopass benefit take effect immediately? I know that at some point in the past, and maybe still, there was a wait period if purchasing MM in the parks as opposed to in advance.

So I am wondering if I should drop MM to save that cost, or will I lose some of my pics because of the waiting period?

The price of MM gets rolled into your 'credit' to upgrade to the AP, so might as well keep MM as it is.

There will be no "waiting period" on photos when using the AP Photopass benefit.

Actually, pictures are retroactive. I activated mine in early December and got my linked friend's pictures from the October before.

Always worth mentioning...if you plan to modify tickets, ALWAYS know the amount you expect to pay, and check it against any prices you are quoted. Also, for me, the process is often surprisingly a bit slow, at least mine have always gone slowly. Best to attempt it when you aren't in a time crunch.

Second, if your tickets are on Magicbands, have all the bands with you. It isn't enough to have them linked via MDE.

Just recently, I tried to add a day to a ticket and got three different answers! One CM said it couldn't be done. A second quoted a too high price. Third CM was the charm, and also the friendliest.

So for instance, a 7-day MYW Park Hopper is $485. For two people that's $970. Add in the Memory Maker that we've paid for and that brings the total to $1139. The cost of two annual passes is $1558. Subtract 1139 from that, and our cost to upgrade should be $419, or $209.50 per person, right?

I haven't checked your number against an actual list of ticket prices, but the idea of what you posted sounds right to me.

The price also depends - perhaps - on when you bought the tickets- vs current gate price. I think you said you have a package bought through Disney, but you might have bought it before ticket prices went up. You should be able to have your ticket entitlements valued at current gate price.

I added Memory Maker to our package - $169
That's a total of $642.93.

An annual pass is $829.64 with tax.

So I pay the balance of $186.71 and I can have an annual pass?
