FREE DINING UPDATE- RUMOR and SPECULATION / Update Page 80 !

Ok so I called 407-939-6244 and pressed "0" four times. I said that I believe that I have a pincode attached to my name. And... I did. Then I asked to check my brother's too... he did and then they said my dad did too. We are all reserved at Wilderness Lodge and POFQ (holding both at the moment) with regular DP (TS/QS/S) for all 13 of us. She said that each pincode was good for 3 rooms on ressie. We have to put 2 rooms on one pincode and 2 rooms on the other. But... we are upgrading to regular DP and it will cost $10 per adult per night and $3 for each child per night. It saved a fortune! Thing is... I didn't have an email or snail mail code just asked the rep if I had one and she said yes. She looked up my email and there it was. Too bad my dad is on his way back from Singapore and I can't give him the great news (as he was footing the bill for the 13 of us!!!).

Hi all... did the reservation center call and pressed "0" four times... got free quick service dining!!!! we are going to upgrade for $10/day...to regular plan with table service and snack. Woo HOO!!! Just saved thousands considering we were 4 rooms/13 people grand gathering!!!

I'd also love to hear how you were able to get it and for what dates.

Congrats! I've tried calling Disney several times to see if I have a pin code attached to my name. Alas! Nothing!

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when you tell your dad what kind of moolah you've saved him!

I asked the CM if there's any free dining update and was told that he just came out of a meeting where he asked the same question and was told that Disney is "not commited to anything". Not positive what that actually means, but I'm not getting a good feeling.

We're going either way and I do think there will be a fall promo, I just wish they would announce somthing so we could all sleep!

Fall offer pay for 4 get 3 plus free dining!!! Wow! Wouldn't that be great. But I won't hold my breath waiting for that. I'd love it, tho, & book it in an instant.

Note that FD would be for the 3 days. You'll have to pay it for the 4 days however....

Once you do the numbers, you'll notice that it probably falls in line with the other discounts. This combines the best of both worlds in terms of FD and % off offers. 3 days of tickets is nothing (just pocket change), but 3 days of room and 3 days of dining can add up nicely.

Why bother? UK deals are far better than PINs sent to US households...

There *WILL* be a fall offer. What? Nobody knows and probably wont know until May or June.

But Fall is slow season for everyone. US will come out full force to lure folks over there for HP. Disney will have no choice but to put out some type of tempting deals to retain those customers.

Not for free dining - you have to stay in a mod just for QS and have length of stay tickets, US can stay in a value and buy a 1 day ticket - better value when you have an annual pass...

WDW is advertising the up to 30% off now on TV here in NJ so my guess is that this will be the offer for a while. I don't think they would have bothered to make TV ads if it weren't. I personnally don't think the Free Dining will be out for a while. Just my thoughts based on the fact that I really don't think they'll run 2 different timeframes at the same time. Yes, they had the room discount and giftcard offer running at the same time, but they were for the same timeframe as well.

oh well I priced the package using the 4/3 scenario and if I include QS instead of regular dining I only have to spend +$170......guess that isn't too much more than my maximum allowance, I'll just have to take off the water park tickets, but we really were hoping to try the water parks this time

She said right now they (CM's) have been informed that they are trying to fill summer and will deal with fall after summer room sales are met. I know my experience with CM's is some seem to give more info than others but they also don't always give 100% correct info either. I had an experience a month ago with a CM who gave me false info about my package/dinning info.
Take it for what it's worth but this is what she told me on the phone today. Just thought I'd share what I was told.

Just called and we DID have a pin code for free dining but the rate we already have booked is actually cheaper. We got an Annual Passholder discount at CBR which comes to about $1200 including the regular dining plan. With the pin code on the same dates it comes out to $1600 with free dining but we're paying more per night for the room and we also have to add on a one day ticket for each person in our party. We have to buy a ticket for DD but even adding that cost into our original deal it's still cheaper than using the pin code. You can always call and ask!

That is what I think. They might also feel that by delaying the announcement for a fall deal, whatever it will be, until May, it would be too late for those that went ahead and booked in the summer timeframe to change their plans.

If they released FD now, those that booked in May, June, and July may still have time to change.

Really? How cheap?

The original poster who posted this was much closer to Florida, but for us it would be $2,000 RT for six coach seats (2A/4C, children travel ay 50% the adult rate.) I guess it is because the only route from KC to Orlando is through Chicago and then DC. It isn't cheap for us and us about $500 more than flying. We will probably have to drive, but I was thinking that this would be the perfect solution for us (our trip will take 2 days, whether by rail or car) so that my, DH and the kids can interact, play games, etc during the trip, my DH wouldn't have to drive, and we wouldn't have to put another long trip on our van. That $2,000 is WITHOUT renting a private room with beds for the two nights on the train (that would add an additional $1,500) and just sleeping in the reclining seats

They will offer something for the fall.....what it will be, who knows at this point. One thing is for certain.........at least to me, that 30% for this summer is not enough to entice me to change my dates.

I will continue to wait....and wait..... and wait.......

I have to say, if it isn't FD.....I would be ok with 4/3. We did that last year. LOVED IT!!!!!
