Am I correct that once you book your ADRs, you can cancel your resort reservation but not lose your ADRs? Seems like I learned that a couple of years ago when I had to change our arrival date.

If so, and if you booked so you could get your 180+10, why not cancel if you are booked on a rack rate? You don't lose your ADRs, you don't lose any discount since there is none, WDW bookings go down, and then you can rebook your resort reservation when a deal comes out.

Just a thought...

Hmmm so if they are concerned about 3Q, then there could be something better than the current Visa offer coming out. We are booked with that and it works well because we have a 4 and 8 year old, but something more would be great!

With the HP opening date announced....Disney could surprise the late Spring/Early Summer folks!

Come on Disney......Surprise me! :cheer2:

I don't know about the "worst" but I know many meteorologists have predicted quite an active hurricane season for 2010. Keep in mind they are predictions. The same was said about last year.

Where have you guys heard this. I researched Hurricanes and El Nino patterns, and it says that hurricanes drop dramaticaly during El Nino periods. Here is one article that I found, but if you Google it you will find many more:

My BFF's DH is a meteorologist/climatologist. I will ask him about the hurricane thing.

If I get hit with a global warming discussion/lecture....you owe me! :rotfl2:

Just do a search for 2010 hurricane season predictions. You'll find several articles talking about predictions for an active season from several meteorologists. As far as El Niño goes, it all depends on what it wants to do. Here's what one article said:
If El Niño conditions dissipate, as they typically do within a year, wind shear will be reduced, making it easier for hurricanes to form. If El Niño immediately transitions into La Niña, we could see extremely active hurricane season.

Or, if El Niño lasts longer than normal, we could have another quiet season, like this past one.

They're just predictions, not promises. 2009 was predicted to be an active season as well...and it wasn't.

Well, that just stinks...

Not only might we not have free dining this year, but now we might have an extra special hurricane season as well :confused3

I sure know the year to pick em' :rotfl2:

You can't scare me away Disney, no matter how hard you try!!

I agree with some of the PPs - free dining or pkg deal or not... That won't determine my vacay plans. It might adjust my length of stay, etc - but if I'm going on vacation, I'm going. It has to fit withing my family's time frame, our budget, etc. That might mean that disney is out, but this year it's in, with or without a 'deal'.

Yep, I worked on my taxes last night and wanted to cry. The amount from last year would have almost paid for our trip and now we are lucky not to owe. We can't even pay to board the dogs with what we will get back. :headache: I have been stressed all day about it.

Hmm that doesn't sound right. There was a tax cut issued last year that we started seeing in our taxes immediately - most everyone did. DH adjusted his withholdings at that time like HR recommended, but then still ended up with more money back than expected. So much so that we actually decided that we withheld too much this year and had to make a correction so that we wouldn't withhold so much for this next year. Did you not make the proper corrections? :confused3

One last reminder it's fine to talk about how the tax changes affected you.

It's not fine to make comments positive or negative towards or against any political affiliation. Period.

Them's the DIS rules. Thanks,

Knox

does it usually come up right at 7am.......I sure hope it is soon, I can't be hopping on this computer every morning for another month or longer:rotfl:

It's usually posted by now. I'm guessing we'll be waiting another day (or two or three.....) :headache:

I was up at 3 am to make my Castle ressies for Sept 28 and the stystems was still stuck on the 27! When I got up at 7, I managed to get the castle and chef mickeys for breakfast. So it worked out in the end! Guess 3 am is a little over kill! :rolleyes1

Anyway, only 2 days left of ressies to make. If the 4/3 deal is what is coming I have a couple more days to of ressies to figure out!:cheer2:

The online ressie opens at 6am...phone lines open at 7am. So, no need to get up at 3am because you can only book for the previous day...I hope I am saving some extra snooze time for you.
