I am so excited I just had to share! I booked a free dining trip at pop and was very happy with the cost of our trip, 2 adults and 2 kids. I figured out a weekly savings plan (I have a work from home job that pays weekly that is more or less our extra $ that we don't add in to our monthly budget) that was comfortable for us. Plane tixs, while high for some reason, are being paid for in miles and some found $ from a savings account i forgot I had from high school. We just found out my husband is going to be traveling for work for the foreseeable future 4 days a week. His company gives him a daily food per diem, he does not expense his meals, just gets a flat rate for each day of travel. He can easily eat off of the amount he is given with spending less than 2 days worth of his daily food budget-which is still more than my weekly grocery budget. So we are able to use the money that he will be saving from that and that will cover all but about $500 of our trip. He also gets a bonus about month before we leave that we already decided we would use a s portion of that as our spending $.

I was just at wdw to run the princess 1/2 in Feb a was feeling guilty about taking another trip so soon but I wanted to take advantage of free dining and good timing with school. Now that our out of pocket is even less I am more excited! October can't get here soon enough!

Isn't it exciting when you can use found money to help pay for your trip?!!! :cool1: It does almost feel as if you're getting it for *free*!

That's great! My dh used to get a daily food allowance from his last job too. Unfortunately dh's logic was that he could eat like a King. I would have saved as much as I could. Great that your trip is going to be inexpensive for you. Have fun!
