Free Dining, this may be a stupid question but

I'll ask anyway. When they do the free dining if your res starts at the end of the promotion does the free dining extend through your entire stay?

I am not sure about this past offer in 2006 but we had the free dining Fall 2005 and they did offer the free dining through your entire stay so long as it started during the promotion dates. (Our stay started the second to the last day of the offer and they honored it through our entire 9 day stay.)

I know some posters here on the DIS who posted that they checked in on September 30 (last day of 2006 free dining) and still got the free dining for their whole stay - and some were for 10 nights! So free dining could actually have run through the first part of October for the people who checked in at the end of September.

Ten nights is the maximum. Word was that they deliberately pulled in the end-date for the promotion in 2006, just so those ten days wouldn't go too far into October.

I have read that the end date is September 29th for 2007 (I also read Sept. 26th too, but think the 29th is correct).

We checked in Sept. 29 and got free dining for our stay. You couldn't go over 10 days though.

As a general rule of thumb, many packages are 3 nights minumum through 10 nights maximum. And the check in time just has to be before the last date the package is available. But techinically guests can check in on the final night and whatever the package perks, are still good through their check out day, even though it is out of the package date range.

In the many threads here on the boards from folks who recently booked. I think also on WDWig.com. Only one person has said the 26th (I think it was just a typo). But have seen the 29th as the last day in almost every thread.

The Pilot program will run through December 31. This member is a UK person and their promotion has already started and has different guidelines than the promotion offered to US residents.

Where can I keep checking to see if the free dining promotion is being run in 2007 for US citizens? and in the past if it was to be used for trips in the september area....when was it announced in relation...like last years...when did it first get announced they were going to do it?

Last year, it was announced the beginning of April.
