We already booked our Free Dining Package for May 2011. But with all the questions on what the new discount might be...im curious...is FD the best deal for a family of 4 with 2 kids 2 adults. We want to stay at POP for our first on-site trip, so no need to consider a deluxe resort. I am just wondering if I should be concerned about any new discount or is this the cheapest we will get?

In May, the rack rate for the POP is $105 weeknight and $120 weekend for standard, or $120 and $125 for preferred.

1 adult on QSDP = $34.99 (x2 =69.98)
1 child on QSDP = $ 11.99 (x2 =23.98)

Total value of "free dining" = $93.96 per night.

So, I would think its safe to say with the choice of of the Pop, free dining will be the best discount, as you would need a room only code to be worth more than 89% off for a standard weeknight to make it a better deal. Haven't seen a 90% off PIN lately.....:lmao:

Hee hee..thanks..I kinda figured it is alot better than any ROOM rate Discount...but wasnt sure if a Buy 4 get 3 was a better deal

I'm not as familiar with buy 4, get 3 deal..is it room only? Does it cover room and dining? Seems like you can get a rough by taking what ever value the daily rate of the components would be and then add together x3 units and compare to the value of the free dining, or take the total for the week and multiply by .42 for the value of the 3 "free days"...If you need me to run numbers, just let me know what needs to be calculated together for the "buy" portion. :)

If they come out with something else better you can change reservations if within your time frame:thumbsup2. On the dining you can upgrade to MYWD and then get one TS a day and a CS and snack. Is $10 per day to upgrade per adult. My sister, her husband and I have stayed at deluxe and moderates( and condo's off site) and for the money and time were in the room we have been going to value last five years and POP is the best (to us) and we can go three times a year this way. So for us it works:dance3:

$10 per night (not per day) per adult to upgrade in 2010. In 2011 the cost to upgrade is $11 per night per adult except for peak season, when it is $13 per night per adult.

Since your kids are under 9....if they do the kids 3-9 stay and play free and it covers your arrival date, that would save you the price of their park tickets. But you'll have to figure in the cost of your meals oop. It could save you alot of money especially if your kids don't usually eat alot. It all depends. Sometimes, trading one discount for another ultimately ends up being around the same price once you pay for what's not covered in your discount.
