We are going from Aug 25 til Sept 1. I booked using the 40 % off pin code I received in the mail. I did do a whole package thing with the room(40% off), meal plan and park hopper tickets. Now that there will be free dinning when we are there does that mean I can get the promo as well?

No it is one or the other. You cannot stack discounts.
What you can do is price your package on disneyworld.com without the dining plan included, since it would be free, and compare it to what you are currently paying and see which is better.

Keep in mind that the free dining plan is for the regular 1TS, 1QS, 1 snack option not the quick service or the deluxe plan.
At least we are hoping it is the regular dining plan as it has been the past few years

we are booked w/the 40% for 9/5-12 and when the FD comes out, we will just call and and rebook w/a package and then cancel our room only ressie! we do this every yr. i can't wait for free dining!!

SO you cancel your room ressie with the 40% off and rebook with the free dinning code? You give up for 40%off for free dinning? The way I figured it out, free dinning would be more. Maybe I did it wrong or maybe it is per family as to what is best. I am not questioning you at all, just trying to figure out the better deal.

It all depends on party size and what hotel you stay in. If you're in a deluxe hotel, 40% off the room is usually more of a savings. If you are a large family & stay in one of the less expensive hotels, free dining can be a better deal.

I would just price your trip both ways for your family size and hotel choice and see which is more of a savings for you.

we always stay in value resorts so the free dining offer is a better deal for us. for me, dh, and dd the free dining will save us $600! the reason i have to cancel my orig. ressie is because it is for room only and the free dining we would have to do a package and each 1 day base tickets.

I see, we stay are staying at the Beach Club. I priced it out and if we did the free dinning and not the 40% off we would pay about $300 more than we are paying now. Thanks for all the help.

We were there for free dining in 2006 and I still have one 1-day ticket left to use. They're nice to have around.

Yes you can .The cast member who booked our stay with the 40 % off code was able to add tickets and change it into a code that would accept the free dining when it became available.We kept the discount and are ready to add free dining.This took awhile on the phone but it can be done.He said he " came in through the back door ".Call Disney and get yourself set up with a correct code..Good luck

I think that someone was pulling your leg on this. The only time the free dining has been offered in conjunction with a room discount was last year as a bounceback promotion if you stayed at Old Key West and Saratoga and that was a special offer. Never before has free dining been available in addition to a room discount and I don't see that changing

If you have AP, you still have to buy a 1 day park pass (per person) to make it a pkg. You can save that pass and use it to discount the price of your next purchase of an AP if you plan on getting another one-otherwise save the 1 day park pass and add more days for your next trip when the AP has expired.

PLEASE don't expect to be able to keep your 40% off room code AND get Free Dining with it.
