Free Dining Room Exclusion Rationale

Yeah that HS day can be potentially a big deal since all of my RDRs will be scheduled around our park days...including a F! Dinner package at H&V.. If the park was closing early would they even still show that option as available at 180 days?
Both of our MK days will be during MVMCP..one including the party, one not.
huh good point about the F!. I'm guessing not. It will be interesting when the days open to see what is available when. in 2015 it was Dec 9th, which was Wednesday.... confirmed on WDW's park hours here.... the park closed at 6pm that day and 8-8:30 all other days.

Also more googling shows that it was on wednesday a few years in a row so hopefully that will stay true.

If memory serves me right it doesn't close till fairly late. F! runs early that time of year. So I suspect you'd still get in your F! showing and then leave the park.

Last year there were no night shows scheduled that day and the park closed at 6 (I think F! shows at 7?)

Also Dec park hours are scheduled to be released mid may so should have ACTUAL park hours before needing to make ADRs. I hope. lol.

That would be wonderful!

Whew. Ok so we'll know in plenty of time then.
Wednesday would be perfect for me since that is our departure day.lol

were you planning to go on wednesday?

I'm guessing it is FAIRLY safe to say Wednesday only because I'm sure that the schedule is pretty well set for the various sporting events and they've had it on wednesdays historically for a reason and that reason is not likely to change. The smallest package is only 3 nights going up to 5 nights so maybe that Wednesday is the last night of the 3 night package? Just guessing there, really just hopefully talking out of my butt. I am planning on wed night at Epcot and Tuesday or Monday for F!

We should start a "first week of December" support thread lol. The struggle is REAL

Oh ha ha I had just updated my previous post. See above :).
Yes..start a thread! There is a December one but most seem to be Christmas time.

The PW people are not likely to be the 180+10 kind of ADR bookers though, are they? As I only care how this impacts my vacatoin lol

I would say no for the +10 because they will still have to go through playoffs to even know if they are going. My guess is they will be the ones who fill the restaurants last spots. They may make changes hard at some point but +10 timing is fine.

I suspect the vast majority do QS more than TS too. They have a busy schedule with the football activities. Their park time is not significant, unless they add on time before or after the games. They'll be less inclined to spend a long time at a meal. I think the place that feels the most impact from them is ESPN Zone. And it's a place most regular park goers don't bother with.

I agree. I don't think they will be rushing to book dining. But I do think that since they have a clear cut schedule they are able to set aside table service meals. For some this is a special trip they might not ordinarily take. Not saying TS dining is a huge impact but maybe enough that last minute changes will be difficult.

You took too long..I had some free time.. So I just created a thread. Let the planning begin! (Or continue anyway ;) Maybe I'll learn something else..like I don't have to pay OOP for my son to get an adult meal when doing a QS restaurant lol

Lol..yeah.. If only I would have known BEFORE my trip. I could have saved a few dollars!!!
I'm on my phone and don't know how to link while on it.. But I started the thread under "doing the happy dance" section. Hopefully we'll all learn a new trick or 2! :)

I am thrilled to have been able to book and get free dining. We are coming from the UK for the whole of Christmas. In England we are offered free dining from Feb through to Nov every year, so at the minute they have just released all the dates for 2017, plus $200 on a Disney gift card, 7 days for the price of 14 to all the parks including water ones and then a free memory maker. For us we have used this deal each time we have come. For this trip we wanted to stay in Disney but as a family of 6 it would be tricky. I am so happy to have been able to book on the US website and get the free dining love Disney!!

What is amazing that the first week of FD is not sold out , but 11/15 week is????? And now most of the December is too -- I have the first week (8/23) , that was b/c couldn't get a November / or other dates - however I still keep checking for those November dates or at least another code for November - I would give up FD for a discount for fall
