Free dining released now for aug 25th-sept 29??

It says that the moderate resorts and above will recieve the "disney dining plan" free. is that the plan with the 1 TS 1 QS and 1 snack? It says for the delux, the upgrade will be $34 per adult and 9 per child. Is that the 3 TS meals and 2 snacks?

Just wondering. I am trying to see if we are going to upgrade out hotel then with the free dining since I budgeted for the original price!!

Yes you're correct. It's the regular dining plan for moderates and deluxes. The upgrade is the more than one TS deal.

If I were you I'd save the money- of course we're not huge eaters, but the regular dining plan has always been way more than enough for all of us. I'd spend the $34/day on souvies or a water park day or something

I was just reading the updates on the DIS homepage and it says the family suites are not included.

I had booked our vacation in Jan @ Pop and i called this morning about the free dining. Finally got a CM about 8:45 and i had to change my room to sports because Pop was already sold out for free dining. No worries though just glad to be saving a few $. CM did tell me to keep trying to call back as more people will be changing their reservations rooms could become available. Good luck to everyone else hoping for free dining.

since we have our rooms already book and dining booked, will there be a change by the 5th that all the FD rooms are used up?
I do not have a disney visa because I do not use credit cards anymore.

I books those dates knwoing that the FD is usually available. I definitely want to start calling first thing march 5 which is 6 our time!!

I would have to cut back on our stay if we don't get FD! Boo!!

Just got off the phone with Disney. We had a one bedroom villa at BCV booked for 4 adults Sept 23-29 with deluxe dining plan. She applied the free dining and we saved $1246.96! Yay!

It won't help.If there isn't a room under the promo you won't be able to get it anyway.

I just called and wanted POR but there was no standard rooms at POR. So I ended up at CBR in a standard room. If one comes up on Monday with the new promo I will call and changed it. But it seems like they are trying to book the harder rooms this time around.

"If any of your vacation dates fall within a FD promo dates you can receive the FD discount for your entire vacation stay, up to 14 nights, even if you are checking in on the last day of a FD promo, you can still recieve the discount for up to 14 nights."

You will just need to call...there's no telling what time it will be put on the site. They are slow.

Me too! It's always exciting to see people get a great discount they have been waiting for. I'm also anxiously awaiting the October - December free dining discounts . . . . .

I would love to know too. It's expensive enough to do things with a large family and then to get excluded from a discount really hurts. Though I guess if we booked two rooms at a value it may be a little cheaper and we can still use the discount...but then there would be the stress of trying to get the rooms connecting.
