Hi All ~ I have Free Dining questions;

I am considering the cheapest WDW trip for August.

Let's say I book 7 nights at ASM for the Free Dining ~ can I get the discounted CAA rate or do I have to pay rate rack?

I have to buy at least one MYW ticket right?

Thanks ~ Sandra

Hi Sandra,

Theoratically you can NOT get the CAA discount, although a few American folks have reported that they could get it in the past.

According to Disney, you need to pay the full rate for the room and buy at least one day of tickets to everyone in the room (people who have AP HAVE to do this).

Hope that helps...

Another free dining question. Has anyone noticed a difference in crowd levels, food quality, ability to get ADR's during free dining?

Difference in availability of ADR's? OH YEAH! Bigtime!
Going AUg 24th..have made all mine already!

Jumping in with a question. I would really like to make a free dining ressie for Pop. Being the type of person I am I could not comfortable sit by and do nothing well waiting for the CAA TA, that doesn't start until 11 that day, and hope that she is able to do this for me. Now I would prefer to book through them so I asked her about making my own ressie at 7:00am and using the courtesy hold. By later that day she would know if she was able to book what I wanted and than I could cancel my hold or not book through CAA and keep my hold- hopefully that makes sense. But she said they couldn't do it because they need the names on file. Well if I'm pricing my vacation they need my name on file even for a quote. Generally when I'm pricing anything I get a couple of different opinions so wouldn't this be along the same lines? I'm phoning for a quote in the morning (not putting anything down) and having them price out a package for me also and picking the better deal than putting the money down. But she said that I can't do that :confused3 . Anyone else have any experience with this?

It seems that I heard the many people are doing this.. which is frustrating as you would then have 2 reservations .. one of which could have been used by someone else:headache:

Not if CAA couldn't get my preferred;) . I would also phone to cancel my courtesy hold too at that point if they could get mine.

I think...and I have told them this....that they need to start securing rezzies with a credit card to keep people from booking and double booking and not showing up? The whole thing is getting kind of silly IMO

:confused3

You have to buy at least a one DAY ticket for each person on the ressie.

I asked if I could just transfer them my ressie if I made it and they said that there is no way to do it:confused3 . Mind you they also didn't know free dining was coming out yet either.

I think I will just make my own ressie directly through Disney this time and this way DH doesn't have to worry about getting our stuff since CAA never seems to get it until the day before we leave.
