Free Dining Question

I am hoping someone can help clear this up. The past three vacations that we have been on we have booked in advanced and when free dining was released we were lucky enough to call and have the free dining discount added to our reservation. My sister called them today as she is also planning a seperate trip for her family - and she was told at the reservation number that they no longer do this when a discount comes out. I am hoping this is not correct as I have already booked for Sept 3 and and was planning to add the free dining if it is released again this year. Can anyone confirm if this is true? TIA

You would probably have better luck on the resort section of the forum.

They have never just added free dining to an existing reservation. It's really just a semantics game. What they did was rebook it but kept reservation number the same so it merely looked like they "added" it. When it comes out, they have only ever been able to "add" it if there was inventory available in the category you want at the resort you were booked at.
